00:00 I mean look at you.
00:01 Thank you.
00:02 Looking like a dream.
00:03 Me and Brie are some...
00:04 You and Brie, like, Kevin, they need to be a couple because...
00:07 They should be together.
00:08 Good to see you.
00:09 Good to see you.
00:10 They need to be a couple today.
00:13 This is beautiful.
00:14 Yes, it is.
00:15 Fulman always brings, he takes it a different level every time he comes here to tell you.
00:19 But this is what I love.
00:20 You look like a dream.
00:21 Doesn't she though?
00:22 Incredible.
00:23 You look like a dream.
00:24 Thank you.
00:25 Kevin's right though, and this is what I love about you, because you don't shy away from
00:28 the fashion fun.
00:30 Like you make it a thing.
00:31 I want to look like I'm having a good time.
00:33 I want to look like the party, every outfit has a story.
00:37 This one was like, I want to show up with my fellow actors and feel light, feel soft.
00:42 I want to feel structured.
00:43 You know, I'm a leading man in this category.
00:46 Yes, you are.
00:47 So, structured and everything.
00:48 And something fun.
00:49 This is off-white.
00:50 It's custom and we wanted to have fun tonight.
00:52 Say that one more time.
00:53 I'm a leading man.
00:55 I'm a leading man, baby.
00:56 I love it so much.
00:57 I love it so much.
00:58 This has been, I mean I've said this to you so many times, but it does warm my heart to
01:03 see you getting the flowers you so well deserve.
01:07 And you are literally out here living your best darn life.
01:09 Thank you.
01:10 I am.
01:11 I'm having a really good time.
01:12 I've been working for a long time and we know that sometimes the lights don't shine on you
01:16 like this.
01:17 So, I wanted to make sure that I'm having a good time every single time and showing up
01:21 and showing up because I'm filled with gratitude and being with my colleagues.
01:24 It's just an amazing time.
01:25 I would bet my next paycheck that the Color Purple table is going to be cracking tonight.
01:29 Where are you?
01:30 Are you sitting at Color Purple or are you sitting at Rustin?
01:31 I'm sitting at Color Purple.
01:32 I don't have one butt and two seats tonight.
01:35 I'm actually with my family at the Color Purple, but I'm representing Rustin.
01:38 I love it.
01:39 I love it so much.
01:40 Now, you did an interview and I remember you saying that season three of Euphoria would
01:45 have been a really strong season for Angus.
01:48 And I'm wondering creatively, what do you all do?
01:51 Because I agree with you.
01:52 I mean, he just did such amazing work, but it would have been a pretty special spectacular
01:57 season.
01:58 It would have been.
01:59 I think Sam had some real strong plans laid out for all of us, you know, and how we reinvestigate
02:05 the series.
02:06 And then, so you have these holes that are left.
02:08 Not only he, but also Kevin, one of our producers, who was such a kind, gentle soul and one of
02:13 Sam's greatest amplifiers of the series.
02:16 They're both gone.
02:17 So, I think that Sam and the cast were doing some...
02:20 There's got to be some...
02:21 It's got to apply to the work.
02:22 There's got to be some re-examination of the work and how you're doing it, what stories
02:26 are you telling.
02:27 So, I'm hopeful that that will have some of the spirit of what we've all been going through,
02:31 what we know other people go through when it comes to dealing with grief, especially
02:34 grief and dealing with folks who may have had addiction or whatever.
02:39 I'm not saying that, you know, both, but I feel like, you know, just...
02:41 I know one for sure didn't, but we knew that one had a struggling.
02:45 And so, I feel like we're just going to do some examination of that.
02:49 Well, you know the images of Michael have us all in a chokehold from the movie.
02:54 All of us.
02:56 What has that experience been for you so far?
03:00 It's been fantastic.
03:02 Watching Jafar play his uncle, Michael Jackson, has been an honor of a lifetime.
03:08 Working with Nia Long, who plays my wife, Catherine, and Antoine Fuqua, beautiful director,
03:13 we're having a great time.
03:14 Everything is about really honoring Michael's legacy and also dealing with some of the complicated
03:18 nature of his life.
03:19 And we were told, you're not shying away from anything.
03:22 This is going to be like the story, the true story.
03:26 I think so.
03:27 I think that's what everyone from my producer, Graham King, I think everything about what
03:31 he wants to, how he wants to talk about Michael is really talk about the whole human being
03:36 of Michael Jackson.
03:37 We saw him do that with Bohemian Rhapsody, like in a really beautiful way.
03:41 He's masterful in that way.
03:42 If anyone's going to do a biopic and care so much about the human being underneath the
03:47 icon, it's Graham King.
03:49 I heard this week the moonwalk moment is being shot.
03:53 Is it?
03:54 That's what I'm hearing.
03:55 Oh my God.
03:56 Well, I've seen, I saw the victory tour being shot and I lost my mind.
03:59 Well, did you?
04:00 I did.
04:01 I lost my mind.
04:02 There was a moment actually that I've heard about because I wasn't there, where they shot
04:05 Man in the Mirror and it was something spiritual that went through the entire cast and crew
04:10 that happened.
04:11 That's one of my favorite songs, but also I feel like what it does for audiences and
04:14 crew and everyone, wow.
04:16 Roman Domingo, I just love you.
04:18 I swear I just love you so much.
04:20 Now listen, what are we doing for the Oscars?
04:22 What's this Oscar outfit going to look like?
04:26 What's it going to look like?
04:27 Well, first of all, I know I'm definitely wearing a custom Louis Vuitton.
04:30 So we're still sketching and figuring out what that is because again, it's got to be
04:34 a major story.
04:36 So we're trying to work it out.
04:37 Me and Pharrell's team, we're trying to work it out.
04:38 Okay, I love that.
04:39 Yeah, yeah.
04:39 - Yeah.
04:40 (bells chiming)
