Following the groundbreaking triumph of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is now setting its sights on the next lunar exploration endeavour - Chandrayaan-4. Expected to launch around 2028, this upcoming mission, also known as LUPEX, marks a significant milestone in India's space exploration journey. Dr. Nilesh Desai from ISRO's Space Applications Centre (SAC) revealed to India Today that Chandrayaan-4 aims to build upon the achievements of its predecessor while embarking on more intricate objectives. Notably, if successful, Chandrayaan-4 will elevate India's space prowess by becoming only the fourth nation in history to retrieve samples from the lunar surface.
