MMDA bans e-trikes on national roads

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Acting Chairman Don Artes, together with Metro Manila Council President San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, speaks during a press conference at the MMDA head office in Pasig City, on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024. The Metro Manila Council passed a resolution prohibiting e-vehicles on national roads. A penalty of P2,500 will be imposed on violators. E-trike drivers will also be required to have valid driver’s licenses.
