02:22 >> My name is Moses Gathawabiri, MCM Murera Ward, Chairman of Planning Committee
02:27 in Land and Urbanization.
02:29 Today we had a meeting with the executive concerning the issue of petition which was brought
02:35 to us by the large people of Kiabu County.
02:39 And today we were getting the insight how we are going to work and to have a win-win situation
02:46 for the people of Kiabu where they have a great cry for the freehold land rating.
02:54 And we have several meetings.
02:59 We had another meeting with the whole house at Mombasa, but in the same issue.
03:05 And today was our second meeting with Waziri.
03:09 And we have agreed.
03:11 We didn't get the conclusive information.
03:14 And we agreed Waziri has to come to this house, that is on next week Monday,
03:20 to give more insight about the petition.
03:23 Our plan is that on fourth, on fourth, on fourth we'll be having Waziri.
03:33 And later in the afternoon we are looking how we are going to invite the real estate on that day
03:39 so that even then they can give us their insight.
03:44 Also we are looking on 18, how on 18 March we can invite the Bugia Masinani and all the petitioners
03:50 so we listen to them.
03:52 Before, by the end of this month, we are looking how we can have something which is affordable.
04:00 We can amend this bill.
04:04 As a county, we have a mandate that we can have our own laws which we are going to tailor-made for the county.
04:15 And that's when we are going to look on which section we are going to use.
04:20 We have the section of exemption, we can exempt the freehold lands in Kiabu.
04:29 The law allow us to do that.
04:30 And we are not contravening the law of the National Assembly.
04:34 But we are going to consult widely within our legal team
04:40 and we are going to have something which is going to work for the people of Kiabu.
