00:00 Hi friends, welcome back to War of Processors.
00:03 In today's episode, we'll be looking at the OnePlus 12R vs iQOO Neo 9 Pro vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro.
00:09 Now, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro and OnePlus 12R have the same processor but they have the Neo 7 Pro.
00:16 So, today we'll be looking at the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 vs Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
00:20 We'll also see the difference between the two processors and which phone will be best for you.
00:26 If you're new to this channel, I'm Hrithik from Gizbot.
00:30 If you like detailed videos like this, you can subscribe. It's absolutely free.
00:35 Now, let me quickly tell you the rules of testing.
00:37 All three phones are fully charged.
00:39 I have turned on the airplane mode and connected all three to the same WiFi network.
00:44 All three have a maxed out refresh rate.
00:46 You get 120Hz in the Neo 7 Pro and OnePlus 12R but there's 144Hz in the Neo 9 Pro.
00:52 Also, the brightness is maxed out and the OnePlus 12R is the brightest.
00:59 And last but not the least, all three phones are on their latest software version.
01:03 We'll be doing benchmarks and real-life testing for two hours.
01:07 We'll also be testing the battery drain and heating.
01:11 Let's start with the warm-up.
01:12 Let's run a round of Geekbench.
01:19 So, here, iQOO Neo 9 Pro has won against its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
01:24 Also, if you look closely, the OnePlus 12R, which has the same processor as the iQOO Neo 9 Pro,
01:30 is lagging behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 iQOO Neo 7 Pro.
01:35 And here, iQOO Neo 7 Pro has completed its test a little earlier.
01:39 Let's measure the temperatures first.
01:42 So, it's 19.6°C.
01:44 Neo 7 Pro is at 29.2°C.
01:46 Neo 9 Pro is at 30°C.
01:48 And the OnePlus 12R is a little warmer at 31.6°C.
01:51 Now, I'm quite surprised to see the scores.
01:54 The performance mode was not on at all.
01:56 But, in single-core and multi-core, both have been ahead.
02:01 So, the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a little better than that of Neo 9 Pro.
02:06 At least in the starting rounds.
02:07 But, now let's talk about Neo 7 Pro versus OnePlus 12R.
02:11 In single-core, surprisingly, Neo 7 Pro takes the lead.
02:14 And in multi-core, OnePlus 12R has the lead.
02:18 But, don't worry. The performance mode is not on yet.
02:21 But, now I have switched on the performance mode in all three phones.
02:25 And now, it's going to be fun to see
02:27 whether the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in OnePlus 12R
02:30 can be better than that of iQOO Neo 7 Pro
02:35 which has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
02:36 And don't worry, the battery will be checked after this.
02:40 So, the second round has also been completed.
02:47 Neo 9 Pro has also done a great job.
02:49 12R has also completed the test quite fast.
02:52 And, almost after 15 seconds, Neo 9 Pro has also completed the test.
02:57 If we talk about temperatures,
02:58 then here, it's at 90.6 degrees.
03:00 Rune Neo 7 Pro is going at 30.8, 31.
03:04 Neo 9 Pro is also around 31.7.
03:07 But, OnePlus has caught quite a heat at 34.4.
03:11 Anyway, the maximum brightness is also very strong here.
03:13 And, we have to praise OnePlus 12R.
03:17 As soon as you switch on the performance mode,
03:18 you saw that, many people say that it doesn't matter.
03:21 But, here, you can clearly see
03:23 that there is an improvement in both single-core and multi-core.
03:26 Although, the overall score is still slightly behind Neo 9 Pro.
03:30 But, in real-life day-to-day usage,
03:32 there is not much difference in these numbers.
03:35 The difference is of 19-20.
03:37 If we compare the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
03:39 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1,
03:41 then you can see that single-core and multi-core
03:44 are quite a competitive score here.
03:46 If we talk about the battery,
03:47 then here, the battery is losing quite fast.
03:50 OnePlus 12R has reached 94%.
03:52 Neo 7 Pro is at 99%.
03:55 And, look at the battery optimization here.
03:58 Neo 9 Pro is still running at 100%.
04:01 Anyway, let's move ahead to the Antutu Benchmarks,
04:04 in which, we will put all our efforts
04:06 on the CPU, GPU, and memory management of all three phones.
04:10 Let's see how much optimized are all three phones.
04:13 And, how much difference is there
04:14 in the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Gen 2.
04:18 [Music]
04:26 So, here, the first test has been completed.
04:28 iQOO Neo 9 Pro has come second with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
04:33 Neo 7 Pro.
04:35 And, finally, here,
04:36 OnePlus 12R has also completed the test.
04:39 And, here, the clear winner in overall results is Neo 9 Pro.
04:43 There is a significant difference here
04:44 in the performance of OnePlus 12R and Neo 9 Pro.
04:47 Now, whether you look at it in terms of CPU or GPU,
04:51 and here, if we talk about Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Neo 7 Pro,
04:55 then you can see the difference in performance for yourself.
04:58 Rest, let's check the temperatures once.
05:01 So, it's 19.7 degrees room.
05:03 Neo 7 Pro is going at 37.6.
05:06 Neo 9 Pro is also around 37.7.
05:09 And, OnePlus 12R has caught the heat.
05:12 It's touching 41.
05:14 For now, OnePlus 12R is giving a good performance.
05:17 Its brightness is increasing.
05:19 After turning on the performance mode,
05:21 we got to see an improvement here.
05:23 It's still ahead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
05:25 But, we'll run one more round in all three phones.
05:29 Let's see if they can maintain their performance.
05:32 Can we see an improvement in any phone?
05:35 Or, does any phone drop off its performance?
05:38 So, the second round has been completed by Neo 9 Pro.
05:50 And, the second round is by Neo 7 Pro.
05:53 And, finally, the test has been completed by OnePlus 12R.
05:57 First, we'll check the heating.
05:59 Because, I checked it in the middle as well.
06:01 And, OnePlus 12R was overheated.
06:04 Here, you can see, comparatively,
06:07 OnePlus 12R is overheating.
06:09 It's at 42.8.
06:10 Neo 9 Pro is at 40.3.
06:12 And, Neo 7 Pro is also touching 40.3.
06:16 The heat here is being fed from above the phone.
06:20 It's emitting from the screen.
06:22 Especially, in the case of OnePlus 12R.
06:25 Let's talk about the scores.
06:27 Although, the brightness of OnePlus 12R is maintained.
06:30 And, some people will ask why didn't you reduce the brightness?
06:32 The main reason is that,
06:34 brands find the brightness to be quite bright.
06:38 But, how long can they sustain it?
06:40 What effect does it have on the battery?
06:42 How much heating is there due to the brightness?
06:44 All those things get tested out due to this.
06:47 Anyway, if we talk about the overall scores,
06:49 we got to see a drop off in all three phones.
06:51 But, the most dramatic was in the case of OnePlus 12R.
06:54 And, we got to see the least drop off in Neo 7 Pro.
06:57 And, Neo 9 Pro has still maintained the lead.
07:01 Now, if we talk about the CPU heating,
07:03 all three phones are running at the same pace.
07:05 The most heating is being done in OnePlus 12R.
07:08 But, comparatively,
07:09 Neo 9 Pro is also touching 44°C.
07:12 Neo 7 Pro is stable at 42°C.
07:16 Lastly, you can see the performance of the battery.
07:19 There has been a huge drop in the OnePlus 12R's battery.
07:23 It has already reached 79%.
07:25 Neo 9 Pro is at 85%.
07:28 And, Neo 7 Pro has now made a lead with 86%.
07:32 By the way, it's almost an hour.
07:34 We have been testing these phones for a long time.
07:37 Let's give these three phones some time to cool off.
07:40 And, then we'll start testing again.
07:43 So, an hour has been completed.
07:51 And, along with that, their cool off time too.
07:53 We have got a good chance to recover all three phones.
07:57 The room is currently at 920°C.
08:00 Neo 7 Pro is at 31.1°C.
08:02 Neo 9 Pro is at 31.5°C.
08:04 And, OnePlus 12R is at 33.2°C.
08:06 Now, let's go straight to the GPU test.
08:09 This will help us know which phone will be the most stable
08:11 in the long gaming sessions.
08:15 And, what is the scene of heating and frame drop
08:18 in all three phones.
08:19 So, the test is complete.
08:26 Let's check the temperatures first.
08:28 The room is currently at 20.1°C.
08:30 Neo 7 Pro is at 36.9°C.
08:33 Neo 9 Pro is at 40.1°C.
08:36 And, OnePlus has started to heat up again.
08:39 It has reached 44.3°C.
08:41 Now, let's talk about the performance.
08:42 Even though, we are seeing more heating here,
08:45 but, OnePlus 12R has maintained the stability.
08:48 It has come out to be the most stable.
08:50 It has the best loop score.
08:52 It has maintained the lowest loop score.
08:55 The second number is iQOO Neo 9 Pro.
08:57 The scores are quite close.
08:59 OnePlus 12R has definitely made a lead in stability.
09:03 And, you can see the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
09:06 in comparison to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
09:09 It has come out to be a little less stable.
09:11 And, it has a slightly less best loop score.
09:14 Overall, when you are gaming,
09:15 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 gives you a good performance
09:19 at the maximum frame rate of Neo 7 Pro.
09:21 But, if you want to play with better graphics,
09:24 at the maximum frame rate,
09:26 then, the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
09:28 will definitely be of use to you.
09:30 Anyway, the GPU testing is complete.
09:32 Let's do the CPU testing now.
09:34 We will put a full load on the CPU of all three phones
09:37 for 15 minutes.
09:38 Let's see how stable their CPU is.
09:41 [Music]
09:50 So, the CPU test has been completed here.
09:52 All three devices have
09:53 checked the heating first.
09:55 20.2 degrees Celsius.
09:57 iQOO Neo 7 Pro is going at 38 degrees Celsius.
09:59 Neo 9 Pro is a little hotter at 42.9 degrees.
10:02 And, OnePlus 12R is cooling down
10:05 from Neo 9 Pro at 39.7 degrees.
10:07 But, if you look at the throttling,
10:09 it has increased a lot in OnePlus 12R.
10:11 In comparison to iQOO Neo 9 Pro,
10:14 both have the same processor.
10:15 Now, OnePlus 12R had started quite well.
10:19 But, after a minute or two,
10:21 it started throttling a lot.
10:22 It has come back.
10:24 But, its processor has started heating again.
10:27 Because of which, we can see this colorful graph here.
10:30 Overall, performance-wise,
10:31 the throttling was the lowest in Neo 9 Pro.
10:33 Here, it has given a very strong maximum score.
10:36 Now, let's talk about Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
10:39 which is in Neo 7 Pro
10:40 versus OnePlus 12R.
10:42 So, you can clearly see that
10:43 we got to see less throttling in Neo 7 Pro.
10:46 And, the maximum performance here
10:48 had come for a little while in OnePlus 12R.
10:50 That's why it is more here.
10:52 But, when you look at the average performance,
10:55 then, iQOO Neo 7 Pro surprisingly comes ahead.
10:59 Anyway, now let's move towards our real-life test.
11:02 I have imported the same video in all three phones.
11:04 I have also put a filter on each of them.
11:06 And, the processors here are very strong and powerful.
11:09 So, we will export this video
11:11 at 4K 60fps maximum bitrate.
11:15 Let's see, when it comes to real-life performance,
11:18 who is the fastest among these three phones.
11:21 And, in comparison to each other,
11:22 how is everyone's performance?
11:24 How fast can they finish their video edit?
11:27 Now, surprisingly,
11:33 the first test has been completed here.
11:35 Neo 7 Pro with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
11:39 Here, it is very close to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
11:42 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro.
11:43 But, it is left behind here.
11:45 In real-life test, in real-life speed,
11:48 OnePlus 12R with its same processor,
11:51 which is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
11:53 You can see, the test has been completed here
11:55 in Neo 9 Pro, which has the same processor.
11:57 But, let's wait a little more.
11:59 Let's see how much time OnePlus 12R takes.
12:02 So, here OnePlus 12R has also completed its test.
12:06 It took almost 45 seconds extra
12:09 in comparison to Neo 9 Pro.
12:11 And, it took 1 minute more
12:13 in comparison to Neo 7 Pro.
12:15 You have seen the difference in speed here.
12:18 And, the same thing is there in real-life tests.
12:21 And, there is always a little difference in benchmarks.
12:24 I am also quite surprised by today's results.
12:27 If we look at the batteries,
12:29 then here, at the front,
12:30 with 68%,
12:32 iQOO Neo 7 Pro.
12:33 After that, there is Neo 9 Pro with 62%.
12:36 And, finally, there is OnePlus 12R with 56%.
12:40 Now, overall, you have seen all the testing.
12:43 According to the price, iQOO Neo 7 Pro
12:45 is a killer device.
12:47 Its performance is top-notch.
12:49 Its battery backup is also excellent.
12:51 This device is a little old,
12:53 but in real-life, it is still super fast
12:56 with a great camera setup.
12:57 Whether it is casual gaming
12:58 or starting your competitive journey on low graphics,
13:02 Neo 7 Pro can be a very strong value-for-money pick.
13:05 But, the best performance was of iQOO Neo 9 Pro
13:09 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
13:11 Although, in terms of battery,
13:12 Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is behind
13:14 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
13:16 Neo 7 Pro was a little better,
13:18 but the performance was better
13:19 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
13:21 One important thing that was missing in a lot of reviews
13:24 was the NFC payment,
13:26 which is neither in Neo 7 Pro
13:28 nor in Neo 9 Pro.
13:30 You will only get that in OnePlus 12R.
13:33 So, if your priority is contactless payment,
13:35 you use NFC a lot in your day-to-day life,
13:39 then you can think that this can be a deciding factor
13:42 because you get NFC only in OnePlus 12R.
13:46 Now, the OnePlus 12R is a little bit different
13:50 because it gave decent real-life performance
13:53 according to its chipset.
13:55 But, the processor was also throttling a lot
13:58 and the battery was also very low in comparison to competition.
14:02 So, I would say the battery performance is below average
14:05 and the heating is a little bit high.
14:08 The display is best here
14:10 with Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
14:13 The OS is better in OnePlus 12R
14:15 and it has an alert slider USB.
14:18 But, but, but,
14:19 performance-wise, it is behind the iQOO Neo 9 Pro.
14:23 But, if you want to know what the cameras are,
14:26 who is better,
14:27 which is the overall value for money
14:30 by comparing the performance and camera test,
14:32 if you want to see the camera battle between OnePlus 12R
14:36 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro,
14:37 then comment below without any hesitation.
14:39 And I will meet you guys with the camera test.
14:43 (upbeat music)
14:46 (upbeat music)
14:48 (upbeat music)
14:51 (upbeat music)
