A Fire and Rescue Department helicopter rushed a donor heart from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (Feb 25) morning.

Fire and Rescue Department air operations chief Capt Roslan Aziz said that the operation was conducted after a case was referred to the Melaka hospital.

He said the family of a patient declared brain dead graciously consented to the donation of the patient's heart to another that needed it.
