00:02 - So we had heard a few months ago that there was a chance

00:08 that the Wizards and Capitals would make their way

00:11 to Virginia, getting some financial support there.

00:15 But now it looks like there's some pushback here

00:17 coming from the union.

00:18 Do you think that this eventually happens, Gilbert?

00:20 It feels like more times out of,

00:23 like let's say eight or nine times out of 10,

00:24 when we hear the smoke, there's the fire.

00:26 And then eventually it gets done.

00:27 Is that gonna be the case here with this one,

00:29 with this relocation, or do you think that

00:31 there's just too much battle here and they end up staying?

00:34 - Yeah, since we first heard about the potential move,

00:37 it seems like there's been setback after setback.

00:40 But at the same time, when you think about the powers that be

00:43 and the ownership groups of the Wizards and Capitals,

00:47 if they really want this move to happen,

00:49 they'll eventually find a way for it to happen.

00:51 I just think that it might maybe throw

00:53 the timeline off a little bit.

00:55 The interesting thing about this union is that

00:57 the same union representing the workers

00:58 is the same union that represents those

01:00 who work concessions at Capital One Arena.

01:02 So there's a little conflict of interest there

01:04 between that those people could be out of jobs

01:07 if they're unable to go to the Northern Virginia site.

01:09 So I understand there could be some snags in the process.

01:12 I know it's also been met with a little pushback

01:14 from locals in DC because the current arena

01:17 is a little bit easier to get to using public transportation

01:20 and if they move to Northern Virginia,

01:21 that might be met with some pushback as well.

01:23 So if they can figure out these issues or iron them out,

01:26 then maybe they can straighten it out.

01:27 But I just guess it might take a little bit longer

01:29 than we initially expected.
