00:00 Located on Westgate Road in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the Tyne Theatre and Opera House is a fully
00:06 working Victorian theatre. Each year, it's staged to a plethora of bountiful musical
00:11 acts, comedy acts, family shows and plays. With an on-site bistro bar and being walking
00:17 distance from Newcastle City Centre, its popularity continues to prevail.
00:22 And now, let's take a look at the host of acts set to take to the stage throughout the
00:25 coming months.
00:26 Let's start with the music.
00:29 It's been called the ultimate tribute to Queen. Radio Gaga is set to bring one of the biggest
00:34 bands to you in a two-hour show where you can sing along to all your favourite Queen
00:38 hits. From Somebody to Love to We Will Rock You to Bohemian Rhapsody, the show is set
00:43 to take place on Friday 1st March.
00:46 Next, if you're a devoted Dolly Parton fan, well, this one's for you, as Tyne Theatre
00:55 Productions presents Ninth of Fife the Musical. Based on the 20th century Fox picture and
01:00 the book by Patricia Resnick, the story centred around female friendship and empowerment will
01:05 be alight with some of Parton's biggest hits. London's West End's smash hit will see
01:10 to the Tyne Theatre stage from 20th to 23rd March.
01:16 Maybe Queen and Dolly Parton doesn't quite tickle your fancy, but you might be a fan
01:20 of the Bee Gees, of the Jacksons and Donna Summer. And if that's the case, and if you've
01:24 had dreams of visiting New York's Studio 54 nightclub, then Disco Inferno is set to
01:30 be an all-singing, all-dancing celebration of disco. Expect all the hits from the Weather
01:34 Girls, Earth, Wind & Fire and Billy Ocean, as the show is set to present the sound and
01:39 style of the 70s. That'll take place on April 5th.
01:49 Now what about comedy sketches and performances set to take place? Well, co-host of the award-winning
01:55 podcast Off Menu, Ed Gamble is set to bring his hot diggity dog show to the Tyne Theatre.
02:02 You might recognise Gamble as being a judge on Great British Menu, as being Taskmaster
02:06 Champion and, more recently, as the host of The Traitors Uncloaked. The show itself has
02:12 been called Comedy Gold by Time Out magazine, and you can catch that on April 6th.
02:19 Moving swiftly onto two famous faces who are on the road with their podcast. I'm-a-celeb
02:24 winner Sam Thompson and best mate Pete Wicks are to stop off in Newcastle with the stage
02:29 version of their chart-topping podcast, Staying Relevant. Having hit the coveted number one
02:34 comedy chart spot aplenty, and having recently celebrated over 5 million downloads, it should
02:39 be expected that the show is already sold out. But those who were lucky enough to bag
02:44 a ticket will see that on April 2nd.
02:46 Taking place a few days before that one is Lee Francis' first ever live tour. Don't
02:51 recognise the name? Well, you might know him a bit better as Keith Lemon. On the 28th March,
02:57 the BAFTA award-winning comedian will be bringing a whole host of his characters to the stage
03:02 in an array of sketches.
