Following Martin Lewis's nightmare journey with East Midlands Railway what do you think of the trains?
Transcript
00:00 I used to work in Leeds and that was a nightmare. I was sat on the floor most times.
00:05 Very occasionally a conductor would be very kind and let me go in first class for free but most of the time I was just sat on the floor.
00:13 Yeah, they've always been too busy. It's like they sell more tickets than they've actually got.
00:17 And that's when the trains do turn up.
00:20 I don't travel by train very much anymore because of probably past experiences.
00:25 What should be done about it?
00:28 Oh, gosh, put more services on I think. Yeah, put more services on and don't oversell your trains.
00:37 So I'm using the train at the moment two or three times a week to go down to London for events.
00:43 And it's always been on time and the service has been good.
00:48 Whenever there's a problem their update system has always been clear.
00:52 So I'm perfectly happy as a customer. Well done EMR.
00:55 Quite often there have been certain times where I have had to stand up all the way, just all the way.
01:04 Yeah, it's tricky.
01:09 What would you do?
01:11 At the moment because there's been quite a lot of train strikes recently and I've been nervous about being cancelled at the last minute I've started to use the coach.
01:21 So I have started to make changes to the way I travel.
01:26 And what would you like to see done?
01:30 Well, I would really like the government to work with people that run the railways and to come together and meet and talk with them and discuss and come to agreements.
01:41 You know, for there to be an agreement that way.
