00:00 Comilec and its group tried the Miru Systems machine that can be used in the election of 2025.

00:09 This Sunday, we will know if the Miru Systems will pass the poll, which is the only bidder for the vote counting machines.

00:23 In front of the chairman and commissioners of Comilec, the ability of the machine that can be used in the 2025 national and local elections was tested.

00:45 Some tried voting by hand, some tried to hide the ballot or put other marks to test what the machine will do.

01:06 According to Comilec, the Special Bids and Awards Committee has a recommendation if the Miru Systems passed the poll.

01:14 You will know within this week if we will give the award to this one bidder based on the technical evaluation, post-qualification, and such other issues pertaining to this company.

01:28 If it passes, 110,000 automated counting machines will be supplied by Miru Systems to Comilec.

01:35 These will be done in South Korea, but the machines will be leased or rented by Comilec.

01:41 However, we cannot be compliant because only when mass production is done will there be glitches.

01:50 So, what Comilec will do is, in the event that they get the award, we will target them from the production level, from the customization.

01:58 Bids for the online voting and counting system that will be used in overseas absentee voting were also opened.

02:06 But the two bidders did not pass the Indra Soluciones Tecnologías de la Información and We Are IT Philippines, Inc. due to various reasons.

02:17 So, Comilec will release an invitation to bid again where the two bidders can join again.

02:24 If we see that the problem is in the documents, we think they can cure it. They can still do it.
