00:45 Born on December 21st, 1932, Ameen Sayani's radio journey began with Radio Ceylon in Sri Lanka,
00:53 soon after which he became the host of the iconic radio show, Binaka Geet Mala,
00:59 that aired on Radio Ceylon initially and then on All India Radio for four decades from 1952 to 1994.

01:29 In fact, he was born in a family of literature enthusiasts,
01:33 where his mother used to run a newsletter called Rehbar and his brother, Hamid Sayani,

01:54 Apart from Geet Mala, Ameen Sayani lent his voice to various advertisements and documentaries.
01:59 He was also conferred with many awards during his lifetime,
