00:00 Are you enjoying this ride still, Sophie?
00:02 I am, and you know what? It's such a glorious thing to be doing the BAFTAs because it really
00:05 pays tribute to Saltburn, which is the reason I'm singing Modern Dancehall here. And I just
00:10 think it's a real celebration, actually, so there's sort of no hidden agenda for me. I
00:14 just want to get out there and have a brilliant time with loads of dancers and try and, you
00:18 know, make everybody bop a little bit in their seats.
00:20 Well, here's the thing. Let's be honest. We all love BAFTA, but they're award series.
00:23 It can go on. They can get a little bit stifling for people sat in their seats. Are you ready
00:27 to provide that get-up?
00:29 I hope so. I mean, I do understand it. Everybody's come along. They're all, like, trussed up.
00:33 They're going to be sat there. They're going to be thinking about their categories and
00:36 how it'll go tonight. So my job is just to provide a little cheeky icebreaker.
00:41 Cheeky the word? Is it cheeky what you've got lined up?
00:43 A little bit. Maybe not as cheeky as Saltburn.
00:47 Well, I was going to say. I think everyone's going to have to keep an eye on what Barry's
00:50 doing when you start playing that song.
00:51 I know. You and me both. I'm wondering if it's like... You know when you get hypnotised
00:54 and they're like, "Every time you hear Madonna, you will think you are Madonna"? Maybe it's
00:57 every time he hears Mernod Arter. I don't know.
01:00 Those viewing figures are going to...
01:02 They'll give me something to look at from the stage, for sure.
01:04 Right. Have you guys sort of... I don't know if you've met before tonight and all this...
01:07 We have, actually. I've met the whole Saltburn cast and Emerald Fanon. You know what? They
01:12 obviously had such a brilliant time making this film. They really bonded and happy. There
01:16 was a lot of really, like, happy energy around the movie. And I think it's brilliant. It's
01:20 very much my kind of film. Dark and funny and twisted and clever. So I'm very, very
01:25 proud to be a small part of it.
01:26 And after the event tonight, will you be up on another dance floor, relaxing afterwards
01:30 with everyone?
01:30 I hope so, yeah. I mean, there's been so much lovely hard work that's gone into the performance
01:35 tonight. So yeah, I hope we're toasting into the small hours. Thank you.
01:39 Hell yeah.
