00:00 I like the way you've covered it. I saw your interviews from the other day and it's like, it's just a bit of fun, a bit silly, it's a bit of fun.
00:05 Well, I mean, you know, what's the worst that could happen? It's not like I'm going to lose Lizzo when I'm after.
00:11 Does it make a difference being an actor, like, knowing everyone, you know, most people?
00:16 Well, I don't know a lot, I mean, I don't know a lot of these people. I mean, these are some of the biggest movie stars in the world, aren't they, all jetting in.
00:24 I mean, I'm up in the morning staring at photocopied pictures of them, you know, attached to chairs across an auditorium. I hope they all show up.
00:31 Otherwise it'll be very disappointing.
00:33 Let's hope they all sit in the seats they were assigned.
00:35 Oh my God, I think you have to. I think it's a sort of three-line whip. I think you get in real trouble if you try and move chairs.
00:41 Don't swap with Bradley Cooper!
00:44 Have you got any surprises lined up for us to see?
00:46 I will be presenting the entire ceremony naked, which I don't think anyone's expecting. But, you know.
00:52 It's a chilly February night, mind you, Scottish people.
00:54 It's very hot in there. Oh my God, it's hot in here.
00:57 Let's talk about the year of cinema. Because we were saying to you, the Barberheimer thing kind of taking over as that headline, didn't it, of course.
01:03 But there's all this other stuff going on. It seems like very healthy that that happened and everyone went back to the cinema and drove.
01:08 It seems like there's a lot going on. It feels like it's a thriving industry. It feels like...
01:12 Yes, you're right, the Barberheimer thing was a nice, crunchy headline.
01:17 But it almost marked a kind of return to going out, didn't it? We'd had those very odd years when we didn't really want to be in rooms having collective experiences.
01:28 And cinema suffered. Live theatre suffered. But I think we're back. I think people want that experience again.
01:36 So it seems to be happening. And it seems to be in rude health as an industry.
01:41 After you're done tonight, are you staying? Are you letting your hair down? Do you relax after?
01:45 Well, I'm back at work tomorrow morning on my normal job, so I don't know... I mean, I might have a single glass of champagne.
01:54 Or sparkling wine. I don't know. Other sparkling wines are available, probably.
