Transcript
00:00 The Lady Bulldogs turn to Oxford this weekend as this matchup has major postseason implications
00:05 as both teams are jockeying for that coveted double bye in the SEC tournament.
00:10 Right now the Rebels are 6-4 in their SEC schedule and the Bulldogs are 7-4, so seating
00:16 wise this is a very important matchup.
00:18 And their last outing, Mississippi State took the game in Starkville.
00:21 Jessica Carter had a very impressive game with a game high of 23 points and she shot
00:25 11-15 from the field which was very efficient.
00:29 Another key thing to note is that the Rebels shot 1-12 in the 4th quarter so the defense
00:33 of the Bulldogs were very efficient and intense.
00:37 Now that was something that didn't happen in their previous game.
00:39 They were coming into the game against the Florida Gators on a 5 game win streak but
00:43 earlier on in the game Carter rolled her ankle on a Gator defender and it kind of stifled
00:47 all their momentum going forward in that game.
00:50 They allowed the Gators to shoot 70% from the field in the first half, finishing the
00:54 game with 60% and 61% from 3.
00:57 The backcourt of the Miss, uh, Old Miss that is, have a very efficient shooting percentage
01:03 and they are very good behind the 3 point line so the defense of Jakayla Jordan and
01:08 Miracle Shepherd will be very fascinating to watch and see as they need to keep that
01:13 intensity that has gotten them up to this point.
01:16 This rivalry game is very important and with seating on the horizon we'll see who comes
01:21 out on the other end.
