BWT Alpine F1 Team gears up for its fourth season in Formula 1 in the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship led by its dynamic, all-French driver line-up, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly for the second consecutive year.
The unveiling of the A524 Formula 1 car marks a change in philosophy and approach to the team’s ambitions in Formula 1, guided by Team Principal Bruno Famin with its technical teams led by Technical Directors Matt Harman in Enstone and Eric Meignan in Viry-Châtillon.

00:08 We've evolved it front to back.
00:12 We've changed almost every component on the car,
00:14 looking for optimisations in every area,
00:17 be it thermodynamic or aerodynamic,
00:19 making sure that we've got good compliance and good stiffness in all areas,
00:22 making sure that we optimise that aerodynamic platform as best we can.
00:26 We've also maxed out our ability to open up the window of the car
00:29 so that we can use it more aggressively at more events,
00:32 ensuring that we've done a lot of specific work
00:35 at some of the events that maybe we didn't perform as well last year.
00:38 Some of the key differences, we've been very aggressive with the chassis.
00:44 It's something you won't be able to see from the outside,
00:47 but you will see it over the year, I'm sure.
00:49 We've also been very, very aggressive with the rear suspension configuration,
00:52 where we've changed some of the kinematics of the rear suspension
00:55 to give us a better aerodynamic performance,
00:58 but mainly to give us a better vehicle dynamic performance,
01:02 allowing us to have better low-speed grip and improve the lap times generally.
01:07 We've reached a lot of milestones as we stand here today.
01:12 We've homologated the vehicle, which is always a tricky time for any F1 team,
01:16 but we've done that.
01:18 We've also run the full car on our dyno,
01:20 where we've achieved well over 3,500km,
01:22 where we've tested the full powertrain and all their systems,
01:24 matching those results to our simulations.
01:26 So we're fully prepared for the test in Bahrain.
01:29 Yes, very much so.
01:33 Looking forward to their comments.
01:35 We obviously have their comments from the driver in the loop simulator,
01:38 understanding some of the changes we've made in great detail,
01:40 but it's always great to see them in the car for the first time,
01:43 testing it, using it aggressively,
01:45 and also understanding what we need to improve further.
