00:00Well, today we are in Oviedo, in Spain, in my museum, my hometown, so it's a fantastic
00:06opportunity for me to show everyone what we have here and to really inspire the next generation.
00:13We have a lot of kids that came today to discover the world of motorsport, not only driving,
00:18also the mechanical side of it, engineering, media, marketing, you know, and yeah, we've
00:24been doing some workshops outside the driving staff and also obviously the karting, which
00:29is the main activity.
00:31This is obviously our third event.
00:32The first one was in Saudi, second in Shanghai in China, and we're now here in Spain, at
00:38Fernando Alonso's museum, which is the first time I'm here, so it's great to see for myself,
00:43but it's really fantastic that we're able to do this across the world.
00:49I didn't know a lot about Formula One before coming here.
00:53I found it very interesting, especially I'm very interested in the more technical part
00:58of F1, right?
00:59I want to be an engineer when I grow up, so I found it, yeah, I think that the workshop
01:04with it was very interesting in terms of learning about how the car works, etc.
01:09We are the fans, we are all the books, and yes, it's a very enjoyable feeling to stay
01:16here, watch all the people, important people, Pedro de la Rosa, Fernando, Jessica, it's
01:22something beautiful.
01:23It's fantastic to see that we are travelling around the world and we are seeing different
01:29young future generations of different countries, but we're trying to give them the tools as
01:34well to make them grow in the professional life.
01:40It is great to see here in Spain a different type of workshop, because we have been focusing
01:48more on the media work that we go through, drivers, I am also TV commanding in Spain,
01:55so basically how they should get prepared if they are going to be in the media industry.
02:02So I think the one we did in China was more focused on the engineering side, so I think
02:07it's great to see these different types of workshops happening around the world.
02:11There are so many different roles in motorsport, and it's important that we open the eyes of
02:17the younger generation and show them all these different areas of motorsport, so each
02:21different workshop that we've got and that we're holding for them may open their eyes
02:25and it may spark their interest or it may confirm to them that that's what they want
02:29to do in the future.
02:30So it's all about developing these skills and this is really a good kickstart and stepping
02:36stone in the ladder of motorsport.
02:38It is very important to help the next generation, I was one of the first Spanish drivers into
02:47Formula One, and probably back then I didn't have the facilities, I didn't have the knowledge,
02:53and this is I think the right time, so I'm very happy that Aranco and Aston Martin is
02:58doing these kind of things.
