00:00 - Any questions for Kate?
00:02 - Thank you.
00:08 How are you feeling today?
00:09 Are you feeling a little better?
00:10 - I feel good, yeah.
00:11 We had an off day yesterday,
00:12 so that was nice to rest up a little bit
00:14 and get healthy, the whole team.
00:16 So that was nice and excited to get back after it today
00:20 and get ready for tomorrow.
00:21 - Are you excited about the prospect of tomorrow?
00:24 Are you anxious to get it over with?
00:26 How do you kind of approach this mentally?
00:28 - I think I'm excited.
00:30 You know, it's gonna be a very special night.
00:32 I got a lot of family coming, so that'll be a lot of fun.
00:35 But I think my main focus is just honestly going out there
00:37 and having a blast with my teammates and enjoying it.
00:41 Obviously, we need to come out and perform really well.
00:43 I think today's practice is really important.
00:45 But I think for me, I'm not anxious about it really at all.
00:49 I'm just very excited.
00:51 It's gonna be a special night.
00:53 You know, honestly, we haven't really talked a lot about it
00:55 as a team or me and Coach Bluter.
00:57 We never really talked about the record
00:58 and what's gonna happen.
01:00 It's just go out there and play basketball and have fun.
01:02 And this is kind of what comes along with it.
01:05 - You maybe saw last week that Kelsey Plum did an interview
01:07 where she talked about when she was on that chase
01:09 for the scoring record, it was like one of the low moments
01:11 in her life that, you know, she let her identity
01:12 be poured out in that.
01:15 That's not the vibe that I get from you,
01:17 but I mean, has it at least been a struggle
01:19 or has it been one of the lower points?
01:20 Or would you say you haven't felt that at all?
01:23 - I haven't really felt that at all.
01:24 And, you know, obviously I get what Kelsey's getting at.
01:27 And I think, you know, I have so much respect for her.
01:29 And, you know, she's reached out
01:30 and been very supportive through all of this.
01:32 And I think that's so cool to have somebody
01:34 that I grew up idolizing support me so much
01:36 and, you know, want to see young women's basketball players
01:41 be really great.
01:42 I think that's really cool.
01:44 And yeah, I think just for me, it's just like the excitement,
01:48 you know, no matter what record I have broke or not broke,
01:51 like that's never something that I'm focused on
01:53 or wanting to do or accomplish.
01:55 And obviously I understand the magnitude of this,
01:58 but I think it's just kind of come along
02:00 with how my four years have gone.
02:02 And it's crazy looking back at how fast everything's gone,
02:05 but I'm just really thankful and grateful.
02:08 And I would say the low point
02:10 was honestly just losing at Nebraska.
02:13 Other than that, there's never really been a low point.
02:15 So I think it was a good learning opportunity
02:17 for our group.
02:18 And today we need to be really good.
02:20 And then going into tomorrow,
02:21 it's a good opportunity for us to rebound
02:23 in front of a really great crowd.
02:25 What kind of Iowa could you ever imagine
02:27 that all of this would happen?
02:30 You know, I'm somebody that has really big dreams,
02:32 goals, and aspirations,
02:33 but I think to like put it on this level and like this magnitude,
02:37 like that would be crazy for me to say.
02:39 So I would say no, but obviously, you know,
02:41 I dreamed of doing really big things,
02:43 playing in front of big crowds, you know, going to the Final Four,
02:47 maybe not quite on this level.
02:49 I think that's really hard to dream.
02:51 And, you know, obviously you can always exceed expectations,
02:53 even your own, and I think that's been one of the coolest parts.
02:56 What's it like being Kaitlyn Clark right now?
02:58 I mean, you might be the most popular figure
03:00 in the United States.
03:01 What's that like?
03:03 Honestly, like, I just go about my business
03:05 as I did when I was a freshman during COVID.
03:08 Like, sure, my life's kind of changed somewhat,
03:10 but, like, I still live the exact same way.
03:12 I still, you know, act like a 22-year-old college kid.
03:16 You know, I just try to have fun and enjoy every single day.
03:19 I know I say that a lot, but that's really what I try to do.
03:21 And I never want to get caught up in the moment
03:24 or this and that, and I think, you know,
03:27 I have a really great support system around me,
03:28 whether it's my coaches, whether it's my teammates,
03:30 whether it's my family who is really close.
03:32 That's one of the main reasons I came here,
03:33 is to be able to have them around a lot.
03:36 So being able to rely on them
03:38 has been really important for me throughout my career.
03:40 How are you able to unplug and just, you know,
03:43 just throw your phone on the sofa or something?
03:46 How are you able to just get away from all this?
03:48 Yeah, I think it's nice.
03:50 Like, obviously, basketball consumes a lot of my time,
03:52 especially when we're in season, but, you know, like I said,
03:55 I'm still a college kid.
03:56 I still clean my apartment, do my laundry.
03:59 A lot of times I call my mom up to come do it for me,
04:02 but other than that, play video games,
04:04 hang out with my friends, do some schoolwork here and there.
04:09 Yeah, but I think definitely getting off my phone
04:11 and just, like, living in the moment
04:13 and enjoying that has been really important for myself.
04:17 You know, just soaking in every single second.
04:19 Like, it's crazy.
04:20 We only have five regular season basketball games left,
04:22 so just trying to enjoy that, honestly.
04:25 But, yeah, I think the best way to, like, debrief
04:28 and get away from everything is getting off your phone,
04:30 getting off social media, and just, you know,
04:33 enjoying what's around you and the people around you
04:35 and the moments that are happening.
04:37 Kaitlin, you've talked about you're not focusing
04:39 on the scoring record, you know, game in, game out,
04:40 but was there a point, you know, maybe over the offseason
04:43 that you realized that you were, you know, on track to do this?
04:47 Oh, gosh, I don't even know.
04:49 I feel like there might have been some mentions of it
04:52 after last season, like, could happen
04:54 depending on how, you know, her season goes.
04:56 And, obviously, as we've gotten closer,
04:58 it's become more and more of a reality,
05:00 but it was never something I'm chasing.
05:02 That's never why I'm scoring the ball at the rate I am
05:05 or shooting the ball as many times as I am.
05:08 I think it's just kind of what the team needs.
05:11 And, you know, my main goal is always to go out there
05:13 and help us win, and, obviously, at 22 and 3,
05:15 we've done that quite a bit this year.
05:16 And that's my main focus.
05:18 And in my eyes, there's two games still that we lost
05:21 that we could have won if we executed properly.
05:23 So I think that's been the most fun part of it all,
05:26 is, like, this season's been, like,
05:27 a really fun challenge for me.
05:29 And the last three years, it's been very set in stone,
05:31 like, what we do, the players that have been in the game.
05:34 And, you know, this year, it's been, you know,
05:36 myself taking a step forward in my leadership
05:38 and bringing younger people along
05:39 or people that don't have that experience.
05:41 But, yeah, I think at the beginning of the year,
05:44 it was like, ah, maybe this is possible.
05:45 But as we've kind of approached it,
05:47 it was more so, like, when it's going to happen instead of if.
05:49 And, you know, this isn't why you play basketball.
05:52 I think it's just kind of come with how I've been able
05:55 to perform over my four years.
05:56 And I'm very fortunate.
05:58 And, obviously, Coach Bluter has really allowed me to be me,
06:00 and that's something I'm really thankful for, too.
06:02 You've said that you've got a lot of family coming.
06:05 How hard was it to get tickets?
06:07 I'd have to tell a lot of people no, unfortunately.
06:11 But, yeah, I mean, like we all know,
06:13 ticket prices are insane.
06:14 And, luckily, I have, like, my tickets
06:16 that we obviously get for free.
06:18 And then my family has quite a few season tickets as well.
06:20 And a lot of friends already have season tickets themselves.
06:24 So I'll know quite a few people in the building.
06:27 Luckily, Coach J was able to get my high school coach
06:29 some tickets, so this is her first game
06:31 that she's going to be able to see this season.
06:34 Obviously, she's busy with coaching back in Des Moines,
06:37 so it's not always an opportunity for her
06:39 to come over and watch me play.
06:40 And this, honestly, just worked out.
06:43 And the stars kind of all aligned,
06:44 so I know that will be special for her to be in attendance.
06:46 And both my brothers will be here.
06:49 My younger brother must be skipping classes
06:51 at college at Creighton,
06:52 so I'm sure he appreciated the free pass.
06:54 But, no, I'm excited.
06:57 It's always nice to be able to play in front of so many family
06:59 and friends, and like I said, that's one of the reasons
07:01 I came here is to be surrounded by those people
07:04 because they mean so much to me.
07:05 And they've always been, you know,
07:07 kind of my foundation in everything that I've done.
07:09 And, yeah, I think it's just --
07:11 it's very important and very special for myself.
07:13 Honestly, do you ever take a peek at the video board
07:16 and see how many points you've got?
07:19 Honestly, not really.
07:20 I think Carver's a little bit different
07:22 than a lot of the places we play.
07:24 A lot of the places we play, like,
07:25 they don't even have, like, points
07:27 and that type of stuff up.
07:28 Usually it's just the team score.
07:30 So I don't really honestly look that much.
07:32 I mean, sometimes you glance up there and just see it.
07:34 But you kind of know how you're playing
07:38 just from the feel of the game, whether that's good or bad.
07:41 And, honestly, like, the amount of points you score
07:43 doesn't really determine
07:45 whether you're playing good or bad.
07:46 I want to be able to do a lot of different things for my team.
07:48 You know, even if I don't shoot the ball well,
07:50 like, I can still play well and perform well.
07:51 And I think that goes --
07:53 like, that's the same for my teammates, too.
07:55 Like, your point total is never the indicator of how you play.
07:58 It's, you know, how hard do you work,
08:00 how good of a teammate are you.
08:02 You know, plus/minus is always something
08:03 Coach Bluter is really big on.
08:05 Maybe you don't even score a point,
08:06 but your plus/minus is the best on the team.
08:07 That just shows how much you're affecting the game
08:10 when you're in.
08:12 So I think those are all really important things
08:13 to look at as well.
08:14 I remember --
08:16 Have they told you when you break the record,
08:18 will they stop the game, will they recognize you?
08:21 Do you know anything about that?
08:22 I don't know, honestly.
08:23 I hope they don't stop the game, though.
08:26 We can't be wasting time outs on that.
08:28 Come on, Al.
08:28 After a lot of your games,
08:30 when you have your little miniature autograph sessions,
08:31 handing out shoes, you talk about how important that is
08:33 for you to, you know, build up
08:34 the future generation of the game by doing that.
08:36 When you were a little girl going to games
08:37 at either Hilton or Carver or Target Center,
08:41 even, whose autograph were you trying to score?
08:43 Who were you going after when you were little?
08:44 Well, my Amour. I was always trying to get --
08:46 When I got -- No, I didn't get hers
08:48 because I didn't have a Sharpie, but I gave her a hug.
08:51 But honestly, growing up, I went to the Nap Center
08:53 all the time with my dad and my brothers.
08:56 And, like, obviously, I vividly have so many memories.
08:59 And I think I was more so interested
09:01 in, like, catching things in the crowd
09:03 more than getting people's autographs,
09:05 whether it was, like, T-shirts or, like, Drake used to --
09:07 I don't know if they still have that blimp
09:09 that flies around inside the stadium,
09:10 but I would always try to catch things out of there.
09:14 So I think those are some of my biggest memories.
09:15 But, like, honestly, like, growing up, I mean,
09:17 I loved going to Drake men's and women's basketball games.
09:19 So it's like that was just, like, the hometown team.
09:21 Like, that's where I grew up 15 minutes from my house.
09:23 And Coach Jenny was a tremendous coach there, obviously.
09:28 A Dowling person played at Iowa.
09:30 So I loved watching them.
09:32 The Drake men had some good battles there.
09:34 So I was never on the hunt, really, for many autographs.
09:36 It was more so I wanted all the free stuff,
09:38 like free T-shirts and stuff like that.
09:41 Talk about your connection with the past.
09:44 Because, like, we see the future in every game.
09:46 But I know women who played six on six 30, 40 years ago,
09:50 even on Lisa and Jan.
09:52 Jan was one of the best ever at it.
09:55 What's been your conversations like been with them
09:58 and maybe how you make them feel watching you play?
10:01 Yeah, I think the biggest thing is when I hear
10:03 from a lot of people that played basketball,
10:05 whether it was the six on six or however many years ago,
10:08 I think they're just, like, blown away
10:10 at where women's basketball is now,
10:13 the platform that we get to play on.
10:15 And, you know, that doesn't come if it's not for the people
10:18 that came before us and played before us
10:19 and played in front of crowds that weren't very good
10:22 or if it wasn't for Dr. Grant
10:24 and everything that she did here.
10:26 But, yeah, I've had so many people come up to me,
10:28 like, I played six on six basketball.
10:30 And, like, I just can't believe, like, the way you guys,
10:33 the crowd you draw and how much fun you guys have playing.
10:36 And I think that's, like, one of the coolest things.
10:37 Like, these women who played 40 years, 30, 40 years ago
10:41 are just so mesmerized by our team
10:44 and what we're doing for women's basketball.
10:45 And I don't know, like, that never gets old.
10:48 Like, that's super cool.
10:49 And a lot of those people are some of our biggest fans, so.
10:52 Do you remember Kelsey Plum breaking the scoring record?
10:55 What do you remember about that moment?
10:58 Honestly, I don't remember watching it.
11:01 I remember -- I'm pretty sure it was on her senior night,
11:02 and she scored 57 points.
11:04 So I'm sure a lot of people
11:06 weren't expecting her to break it that night.
11:08 I think 57 was the most she ever scored in college.
11:10 But the thing about her, like,
11:12 she could just score the ball at all three levels.
11:14 She was really good.
11:15 I loved watching Washington, a really good team.
11:18 And, I mean, I feel like Kelsey is a little bit similar
11:22 to the way I am.
11:23 Like, she wanted to go to Washington,
11:24 take them to the Final Four, which they did.
11:25 Coach Nabors was a really great coach.
11:28 So I really just loved supporting her
11:29 and watching her team more than anything.
11:31 Thanks, Kaitlin. Thanks, guys.
11:33 Thanks, Kaitlin.
11:35 [Indistinct talking]
11:37 All right. Well...
11:39 Turn that off.
11:43 You know, it's pretty exciting.
11:45 It should be a historic day tomorrow.
11:49 I guess eight points is what we're looking at
11:51 for this record.
11:54 And, obviously, she's going to just blast it out of the water.
11:57 And so it's going to be fun to see
11:59 how many points she adds on to that.
12:00 But, you know, obviously, Michigan coming in.
12:07 Really good three-point shooting team
12:09 as far as anybody can really hurt you.
12:11 It's like one of those teams that's very balanced
12:13 that, you know, you know about Leila Felia.
12:17 You know, she's their leading scorer,
12:18 tremendous player, all-big tenor.
12:21 But then Lauren Hanson is just a really good transfer
12:24 they got from Missouri.
12:25 Really good. That was a great get for them.
12:28 She's a point guard, true point guard,
12:30 three-point range.
12:31 They also got another recruit transfer from Bowling Green,
12:35 Alyssa Brett.
12:37 But, again, it's one of those games
12:40 where anybody could go off on you,
12:42 and you just don't know, you know, who it is going to be.
12:45 And so they're kind of harder to guard.
12:47 They've had a really interesting season.
12:48 I mean, they beat Ohio State. They beat Maryland at home.
12:50 Yeah.
12:52 Eight of their nine losses are by double digits,
12:53 so just kind of what stands out to them?
12:56 I know you mentioned some things there.
12:57 What stands out as some concerns for you
12:58 that you guys have to face tomorrow?
13:00 What things do you feel like you guys can take advantage of?
13:03 Well, I mean, again, the balance concerns me.
13:08 Ophelia concerns me. She's really, really good.
13:11 Hanson, I think, is a tremendous player.
13:14 They're a good defensive team.
13:15 They rebound well.
13:19 You know, I think those are the things that really bother,
13:21 you know, concern me is those spot-up threes
13:24 that four people can really have the option of getting them.
13:29 But, you know, I feel like our postgame is good against them.
13:31 I feel like we need to get out and run against them.
13:36 Coach, when you signed Kaitlin, did you have any idea
13:39 that it would come to this or close to this?
13:42 You know, it would be really easy for me to sit here
13:44 and say, "Oh, yeah, I knew she was going to be
13:46 this great of a player," but I think that's, you know --
13:49 I mean, you always have faith in your players that you recruit.
13:52 You think they're going to do well.
13:53 That's why you recruit them, but I don't think anybody
13:56 could have ever predicted this type of success.
13:59 At one point, did you realize that her level of fame
14:01 and stardom was different?
14:02 I mean, was it during the final four on last year,
14:04 was it this year, where you were like,
14:05 "Boy, this is different than even what we had
14:06 with Megan a couple years ago"?
14:08 Yeah, I think it took off during the NCAA tournament
14:10 last year, kind of wrapping up with the Indiana game here,
14:13 going into the tournament,
14:16 and then the NCAA tournament for sure.
14:18 You know, I think that's when her stardom really, really rose.
14:22 Is that difficult for you as a coach and a team?
14:25 Is it difficult for her stardom to deal with that?
14:27 You know, I think it's something we have to always
14:29 be concerned about.
14:30 It's something we talk about because you're not
14:32 going to hide it, but I think the players have done
14:35 such a great job of not being jealous
14:38 and understanding that what she does is good for our program
14:41 and good for them,
14:43 and so it's something that we work on, though, Scott.
14:46 You mentioned maybe taking a timeout after it happens.
14:48 Kaitlyn said that she doesn't want the game
14:51 to stop afterwards.
14:52 Do you have any kind of protocol or anything like that or plan?
14:56 No protocol.
14:57 I was thinking about taking a timeout,
14:59 but I guess I'll talk to her about that first
15:00 because if she doesn't want it, I don't think I want to do it.
15:03 Coach, you mentioned, you know,
15:05 you wanted this to happen here if it could.
15:07 How special is it that this historic moment
15:10 for women's basketball is going to happen in this arena?
15:12 Yeah, I think it's really important.
15:13 I mean, here you have the Hawk fans
15:17 who have been just so tremendous for us all year long,
15:20 and I mean, this is history,
15:22 so you want to have it on your home court if you can.
15:24 How's Molly Davis doing, and how much did you miss her Sunday?
15:27 I think we missed her all week.
15:29 She didn't practice all week last week.
15:32 Definitely missed her in the Nebraska game,
15:34 but she's doing better.
15:35 She practiced on Monday, and so that was really good to see.
15:40 How much are you concerned or not concerned
15:43 about the rest of them kind of watching Kaitlyn
15:47 and just kind of counting in their heads what's going on?
15:50 You don't want them to be spectators.
15:52 You need them to be contributing.
15:55 That's, I think, been the case with our team all year long
15:57 is that we can't have the Michael Jordan effect
16:00 where everybody's standing around watching her,
16:02 and I think we kind of expected that
16:04 in the end of the Nebraska game, to be quite honest,
16:06 and so, you know, we can't have that.
16:09 You know, again, it's something that we talk about,
16:12 and we need to make sure that that doesn't happen.
16:16 Does it seem, Lynn, that, like,
16:18 maybe Kaitlyn breaking this record
16:20 is going to be better for the rest of the team
16:22 as much as for Kaitlyn?
16:24 Honestly, I don't know that the rest --
16:26 that we've really talked about that record that much.
16:28 I mean, it's like you guys are talking about it all the time,
16:33 but we're really not talking about it.
16:35 I don't know if we've talked about it one time in practice
16:37 yet or one time in a team meeting yet.
16:40 Now, today I talk -- I plan on talking about it.
16:42 That might be the first time.
16:44 Do you remember Kelsey Plum breaking the scoring record?
16:47 I do. Just what do you remember
16:48 about that moment, and did you think someone
16:50 was going to be able to do it, you know,
16:51 not too much longer later?
16:53 Yeah, I remember when she broke it.
16:54 I didn't, like, write down that moment or time or anything.
16:58 I don't know any, you know, details about that moment.
17:02 You know, at the time, you think that's a pretty darn good record
17:04 and that it's going to be really hard to beat it,
17:08 but I think Kaitlyn's setting a whole new standard
17:11 that's going to make it really hard for other people to beat.
17:13 What do you plan on telling the team today about the record?
17:16 You said you would talk to them about it.
17:17 Yeah, I want to talk to them about,
17:19 you know, the significance of it and, you know,
17:23 that we want to celebrate this.
17:25 This is really exciting for our university,
17:27 our basketball program,
17:29 that one of our players is going to do this,
17:30 so I want to make sure that we do talk about it today.
17:33 You've been -- your team, your program
17:35 has been the standard bearer for the sport
17:37 for almost a full calendar year now,
17:39 and, you know, going back to the game at Kinnick Stadium,
17:42 sellouts everywhere you go, that can also bring pressure.
17:46 It seems like you've handled it well.
17:49 Do you feel like -- is there a point
17:50 where it might be too much for them
17:53 and would possibly a week off after this Thursday's game
17:57 to the following Thursday be helpful at all
17:59 just to mentally kind of decompress
18:01 for the team as a whole?
18:02 Yeah, I do think everybody's looking forward
18:05 to a weekend off, which we haven't had,
18:07 really, since Christmas,
18:08 and so I think everybody is excited
18:10 about having that time away from the game a little bit,
18:14 the practice a little bit, the mental preparation.
18:17 You know, you asked if it was, like,
18:20 you know, just the pressure of the season,
18:23 and I think what's made it more pressure
18:26 is that every game we play in is like an NCAA tournament.
18:29 I mean, every atmosphere is like that,
18:31 the competition that we're facing,
18:33 because everybody gets up for us.
18:35 I mean, you could see Nebraska, like,
18:37 they thought they won the national championship
18:38 when they beat us, right?
18:39 It was, like, that important to them,
18:41 so we're facing everybody's best promotions,
18:44 everybody's best shot every single night,
18:47 and then you combine that with the atmospheres
18:49 that we're facing, it does feel like an NCAA tournament,
18:51 and that can be -- it can be taxing on you,
18:54 physically, mentally, and emotionally.
18:56 Is there a common denominator?
18:58 You know, the Ohio State game, you lost a 12-point lead.
19:01 I think it was 14 against Nebraska.
19:03 You lost a big lead against Maryland.
19:04 We're able to bounce back there.
19:07 Is there something that you see in each of those games
19:10 and how concerning is that right now?
19:13 Well, it's concerning to us, definitely.
19:16 The difference, the last two,
19:19 the Maryland game and the Nebraska game,
19:21 they shifted up, changed their defenses,
19:25 and we didn't respond to that very well.
19:28 Ohio State did not do that.
19:29 That was just a point of them just, you know,
19:32 keep us -- we're following and getting them
19:35 get into the free-throw line over and over and over again,
19:37 but it wasn't a change of defense or anything like that.
19:40 You mentioned --
19:41 Is there any commonality in the comebacks
19:43 that these teams have had?
19:45 What gets them going?
19:47 Oh, I feel like it's the foul line.
19:49 I really do, but not so much the Nebraska game.
19:53 The first two would be that, but not the Nebraska game.
19:57 You mentioned the last two, Maryland and Nebraska,
19:59 changed up defenses.
20:01 When that happens in a game, do you guys have,
20:03 you know, offenses in place for that --
20:05 all those defenses that you've seen?
20:06 Is it just a matter of, you know, not being ready for it?
20:09 Just kind of curious to, you know,
20:11 what kind of happened in Nebraska,
20:12 and do you guys have an offense in place
20:13 to face that type of defense?
20:15 We do, yeah.
20:16 Going back to the illness a little bit,
20:17 I mean, Molly's been sick,
20:19 Kaitlin's been sick a couple times this year.
20:20 Is this something that you experience every season?
20:22 Is this a norm, or has the illness hit this team
20:25 a little bit harder this season?
20:27 I feel like it's hit this team a little bit harder this season,
20:29 and I think it's been our toughest one
20:32 since the COVID year, really,
20:33 as far as people being sick and being out,
20:38 but, you know, maybe it's the pressure of the season.
20:41 Who knows? Could be part of that, too.
20:44 Do you think your team's inability to adjust
20:46 to that box-and-one had a lot to do with Molly's absence
20:49 and just not having that second ball handler on the floor?
20:52 I think there was probably part of it, yeah,
20:55 is that we missed Molly on the floor during that time.
20:57 Molly is a very composed individual, as you can tell,
21:01 and so having her composure, I think, out there
21:03 would have been really good for us.
21:05 Do you expect Celia to cover?
21:08 Yeah, we were trying to figure out who was going to cover,
21:10 you know, Kaitlin, and there's a couple of choices,
21:12 but she's one of them.
21:13 Did you say Molly's also your second-best shot creator?
21:17 Hmm. Oh, that's a tough one.
21:23 I think Kate and Sid have possibilities, too,
21:28 but I'd put Molly right up there with those guys.
21:30 I think those three, definitely.
21:33 Have there been any discussions about Big Ten protocol,
21:35 post-game situations since Sunday,
21:38 like with the Big Ten office?
21:40 Well, there's Big Ten protocol,
21:41 but we didn't follow before the game,
21:43 during the game, or after the game,
21:44 so I'm not sure why we even have protocol
21:46 if we're not going to follow it,
21:48 but, you know, that's the way it is, so.
21:51 I didn't know if you had any conversations
21:52 with anybody there.
21:53 I've got a lot of "I'm sorries."
21:55 Thanks, Coach. Thanks, Coach.
