00:00 So Asim, what are people missing?
00:01 What's the one headline that we're not seeing about AI?
00:05 There are so many headlines out there about AI.
00:08 I'm trying to think which one is not really being covered.
00:10 I think the one that I would like to see,
00:12 and we're seeing a little bit more play there,
00:14 is that the degree to which AI can be used
00:19 for good versus evil is not based on the morality of the AI,
00:24 but in the morality of the user.
00:28 It is a human problem, not an AI problem.
00:31 Welcome to Leadership Next.
00:33 The podcast about the changing rules
00:35 of business leadership.
00:36 I'm Alan Murray.
00:37 And I'm Michal Evron.
00:39 What does Blackbird AI do for me?
00:43 So if we are equipping analysts
00:46 and threat intelligence teams to get a better sense
00:51 of what are the mechanisms behind this narrative attack.
00:55 So most people perceive that as something
00:57 that just happened.
00:58 And we show them, okay, there might be a bot network,
01:01 for example, that was deployed that is amplifying
01:04 and driving the reach of that particular narrative.
01:08 And if you think about it,
01:09 every organization has a narrative,
01:12 and every narrative has a counter narrative.
01:14 And so it is the seeding of all of these counter narratives
01:17 that are tearing down the messaging
01:19 that that company wants to put out there in the world
01:21 that we really enable them to see.
01:23 So Asim, what keeps you up at night when it comes to AI?
01:26 I would say it's not just AI,
01:29 but it's the application of AI to harmful acts,
01:32 particularly in our space that is about warped realities.
01:37 And I would say that the biggest problem today
01:41 around those warped realities and the utilization of AI
01:43 to drive them is that as a society,
01:47 human beings aren't yet ready to question
01:50 every single thing that they see,
01:52 whether, not even just see, but see, hear,
01:56 read.
01:57 And so the fact that we have to question our reality
02:01 on everything that we look at and try to perceive
02:04 is extremely disturbing.
02:05 And I think about also what our younger children,
02:09 you know, I'm a father,
02:10 and I think about like the world that they're growing up in
02:13 without that ability to be able to know
02:16 if what they're seeing or looking at
02:19 is artificial or manipulated.
02:22 And so that concerns me,
02:23 and that's really why we do what we do.
02:24 Keeps me up too.
02:26 There is reason to be hopeful
02:27 because the same types of technologies
02:29 that frankly are making the problem worse
02:31 can be used as a defensive measure
02:34 or a kind of illuminating product as well.
02:38 February 14th, this Valentine's Day, actually,
02:41 we're launching a product.
02:42 It's something we call Compass.
02:44 We call it Compass because it helps you
02:47 see the way a little bit more.
02:48 It is a context product.
02:51 And so you can give it a question,
02:54 you can give it a link or a post or a meme
02:58 or even a link to a video,
03:00 and it will use our generative AI models
03:04 and all of the risk signals we've developed
03:06 for our enterprise customers around bot activity
03:09 and harmful communities.
03:11 And it will tell you as much non-biased
03:15 kind of two-sided context along with sources
03:18 and where that came from,
03:20 as well as summarizing points like a chat GPT.
03:25 And we think that's something that could be incredible
03:28 for people who don't understand.
03:29 Help the average person discern the truth.
03:32 Why put it out on Valentine's Day?
03:34 Is there a message there or is it a coincidence?
03:37 It is for the love of what we do.
