00:00 This February, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is welcoming the return of Fiesta of Fire,
00:07 which is back and it's hotter than ever. It takes place until Saturday 17th February,
00:13 meaning it's perfect for half term fun for all the family at this iconic location.
00:20 Bring Fire Project are amazing. They've got a whole host of fire performers that are going
00:25 to be doing things. We actually, just at the moment, we've got them over at Hartley Quay,
00:29 which is some freestyle fire performers. And then we've got a full on choreographed routine
00:34 where people can come. So that's at 6pm this week. We've got some new things as well for
00:38 Valentine's and yeah, and something on Thursday, which is very special for 80 lucky Liverpool
00:45 residents. So 80 people can do a fire walk. So 1200 to 1600 degrees colds and they get
00:52 a full safety and motivational talk for an hour and 15 before it. And then they will
00:57 be invited to go over the colds, which will take about six steps. So yeah, that's on Thursday.
01:05 Bring the Fire Project are a Liverpool based collective of fire dancers, circus skills
01:11 teachers and flow arts promoters. The project aims to create opportunities for everyone
01:18 to discover the beauty of fire arts, not only as entertainment, but as a unique skill that
01:25 anyone can learn and enjoy. Founded in 2012, Bring the Fire Project have organised events,
01:32 performances, workshops and projects with festivals and productions across the UK as
01:38 well as Europe. Most recently, they brought their skills to Liverpool's biggest ever Lunar
01:43 New Year celebrations to welcome in the Year of the Dragon and to celebrate the 25th anniversary
01:50 of the city's twinning with Shanghai. So we've got a fire breathing dragon. It was incredibly
01:56 popular last year. People from all over the Northwest came. So yeah, you can see that
02:01 from two till six on Saturday and it's a three metre high puppet dragon, which roams around
02:09 and it's got fire breathing from its nostrils. It's incredible and the kids love it. It's
02:13 all family friendly. It's all free all the way through to Saturday, which is the finale.
02:17 So we've got Comic Con here with a cosplay parade. We've got the fire breathing dragon
02:21 on Saturday and we've also got the fire show as well from 6pm. So come down every day and
02:27 you'll see something going on at Fiesta of Fire. It's the ultimate antidote, isn't it?
02:30 Look, it's a little bit windy. It's a little bit cold. So what's better than to wrap up,
02:35 bring the family down and see some real fire that's bound to warm everybody up. Bringing
02:39 a spectacle of fire and light to the Martin Luther King Jr. Plateau, Fiesta of Fire welcomes
02:43 back captivating choreographed fire shows and freestyle fire performers from Bring the
