We all know Oil contains Fat. This Fat forms blockages in the arteries like Coronary Arteries. These fats are called Cholesterol and Triglycerides. They get deposited in layers over a period of years. When these blockages become significant, the tubes (arteries) get chocked leading to a disease called " Coronary Artery Disease" (Angina, Heart Attack). Oils also have high calories content (each gram contains nine calories) that can lead to Obesity, Diabetes and Blood Pressure. So, it is best to minimise the fat content in our food .
From today we are starting a series of " Zero Oil Cooking Recipes". These recipes are healthy and good for heart as these Zero Oil Recipes are Cholesterol Free & free from Triglycerides. So let's start our 1st Zero Oil Cooking Recipe , Zero Oil Cooking Episode 1 , Zero Oil Poha Recipe.

00:25 And today's first recipe is Zero Oil Poha Recipe

00:46 And first let's see the ingredients
00:49 Ingredients
00:59 We have taken 1 cup of poha
01:02 We will wash this poha first
01:04 We will add water in this strainer
01:12 We have washed the poha twice
01:24 We will keep this in the strainer for 10 minutes
01:27 We have taken 1 cup of peanuts
01:34 We will dry roast this
01:36 We have dry roasted the peanuts for 5 minutes
02:03 Peel has started to separate
02:06 It means it is properly roasted
02:08 We will take it out in a plate
02:13 We are making a zero oil recipe
02:25 That's why we will fry this mustard without oil
02:30 We will add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
02:33 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
02:38 After the cumin seeds and mustard seeds crackle, we will add curry leaves
02:54 We will add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
02:56 1 onion sliced
03:08 We will add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
03:11 After the onions are fried, we will add green chillies
03:27 And this is optional, tomato
03:33 We will add the tomato
03:35 We will add salt
03:55 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
04:02 1 tsp sugar
04:04 We will add some water
04:29 We will cover it and cook it in low flame until the onions and tomatoes are soft
04:35 5 minutes are over, we will remove the lid
04:54 We will add the dry roasted peanuts
04:59 And this is soaked poha
05:13 We will add some salt
05:41 We will add lemon juice
05:43 And green coriander
06:07 We will add the fried onions
06:09 We will cover it and cook it for 2 minutes
06:27 After 2 minutes, we will remove the lid
06:29 We will turn off the gas
06:43 And we will serve it in a plate
06:47 Our zero oil poha recipe is ready
06:54 We have garnished it with sev and grated coconut
