00:00 Hello, I'm Sam Morton, reporter for Sussex World. I'm here with my colleague Henry Bryant.
00:05 We've just watched Brighton lose 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was a really frustrating
00:11 result and such a heartbreaking way to lose it, right at the last gasp, with Brendan Johnson
00:17 scoring with pretty much the last kick of the game in the sixth minute of injury time.
00:21 He was obviously set up by Son, another substitute that's come back to a hero's welcome, really,
00:26 out from the Asia Cup. It was, as I say, a really disappointing end to a game which Brighton
00:31 defended so well in. Obviously, Tottenham were dominant for large periods, but on another
00:36 day Brighton could have won it, really. They had the chances to win it. So, Henry, how
00:41 would you sum that one up?
00:42 Well, I think Brighton really started well. We had a lot of tenacity about us. Stand-up
00:46 players would have to be that guy, Stanley Wurlbeck. He was really quality from the off.
00:51 We had a little bit of trickery and that was able to land us that foul that eventually
00:58 ended up getting us that 1-0 lead, thanks to Pascal Gros's penalty goal. I think from
01:04 then we played it well into the first half. We kept that 1-0 lead, but we didn't keep
01:09 the same intensity. It was a table's turn moment when Tottenham were able to turn on
01:16 the attack and they were able to do really, really well against us. It resulted in us
01:23 getting a quite cheap goal against them where Sar got two attempts at goal. The second one
01:28 going in with the first one being blocked off the leg of Louis Stunck and then that
01:32 second goal right at the very end, as Sam was saying, set up by the substitute and man
01:38 of the moment, Son, who got a standing ovation when he came out for Tottenham Hotspur. So,
01:44 yes, very unlucky and the Brighton boys will be very gutted to have conceded that late
01:48 on.
01:49 Thanks a lot Henry. You can see all of our play ratings and reactions from the managers
