00:00 Obviously, the Saints moved on from longtime coordinator Pete Carmichael,
00:03 a guy who you had such great success with, replacing him with Clint Kubiak.
00:09 From your viewpoint, do you like the way the Saints offensive personnel meshes
00:14 with what you know to be Clint Kubiak's scheme coming into New Orleans?
00:19 >> Yeah, at the end of the day, I think what goes into that decision is,
00:23 number one, how does the quarterback mesh with the system?
00:28 And obviously, the Saints are very committed to Derek Carr and his skill set,
00:33 right?
00:33 So you're trying to find an offense and
00:36 a coordinator who would be a great fit with you, Kubi.
00:39 And then you start looking at the personnel that you have and
00:42 just how you wanna build your team.
00:44 You're not just operating in these silos of offense and defense,
00:48 and we're kind of doing whatever the heck we want on each side.
00:52 You're definitely thinking about how those two work together and
00:56 play complementary style of football.
00:58 And so I'm sure that that was a big part of the decision as well.
01:02 Kubiak has an excellent reputation.
01:05 I think it's gonna be a style of offense,
01:09 probably similar to what you see with the Dolphins, the Niners.
01:16 A little bit of this tree of this West Coast offense,
01:19 that's the outside zone run game, it's play action.
01:22 And then it's a short intermediate passing game that becomes an extension of
01:25 the run game.
01:26 So it'll be fun to see how it evolves, but I think the Saints have great personnel.
01:30 And I think Derek Carr's a great guy to execute with.
