00:00 Thousands of people were left without heating, as a major pipeline bringing hot water from
00:07 a geothermal plant was overrun by lava in the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland.
00:13 Whilst the air temperature outside is minus four degrees, people have rushed to buy electric
00:19 heaters and heater fans, as houses in Iceland are usually heated with geothermal water.
00:26 "It is very dangerous to have windows open, not more than one window open in the sky,
00:33 not to leave the cars in the parking lots, and it is very dangerous to have a fire,
00:40 and now we are hoping that this will be put out tomorrow."
00:45 This is now the third time in less than two months that a volcano in southwestern Iceland
00:51 has erupted, threatening a nearby community. Some have even had to evacuate.
