00:00 Ram's organization for essentially giving me my PhD in coaching and
00:05 learning under those guys and what a first class organization but
00:09 couldn't be more happy could be happier to be here and really open up to any questions.
00:15 >> Liam, one of your mantras as an offensive play caller is players over plays.
00:20 Can you just speak to that and identifying that and
00:24 what that means to you and your play calling style?
00:26 >> Yeah, I was taught in times of crisis you think players not plays.
00:30 And it's not about what maybe I like or the play that I might like the most,
00:35 but what's gonna get the ball into our best players hands?
00:39 What can our guys execute at a high level and be able to go do and
00:43 have confidence in?
00:44 And also, on the back of my call sheet, I have a player box for
00:48 multiple players that ultimately wanna get the ball in their hands right now.
00:53 No questions asked, the cover's not gonna change.
00:55 It's not gonna matter what happens, that the ball's going in their hands right now.
00:58 And because this game's, it's a personnel game, right?
01:01 And at the end of the day, it's about those guys.
01:03 >> What'd you like about the situation?
01:04 >> This was a no brainer for me.
01:07 I mean, obviously, the opportunity to work with Baker,
01:11 to get back with him potentially.
01:13 John Wolford's in the room that I coached with the Rams for multiple years.
01:18 The skill set on the perimeter, obviously.
01:21 Youth in the running back room, tight end, and
01:24 one of the best tackles in the National Football League.
01:26 So this was all together really something that we could not turn away from
01:32 whatsoever.
01:33 This is something that we were really excited about as a family.
01:35 My father lives an hour and a half from Tampa.
01:39 I've spent a lot of time down here, and this was just a no brainer for us.
01:43 >> Where does your father live?
01:44 >> He lives in Rotunda West, which is a small community kinda just right in
01:48 between Port Charlotte and Englewood.
01:51 So he's right down there, but he will be moving to Tampa, I can imagine, pretty
01:55 soon.
01:55 >> Liam, how much you're working with Baker, I know it was for a short time, right?
02:00 How much do you think that's something that the Bucs valued?
02:04 And what's your conversations been with him?
02:06 And what was that experience like when he was in LA?
02:08 >> Man, Baker, as you guys know, he's an igniter.
02:13 And that's the type of guy that you wanna be around.
02:16 He came into our organization at a really difficult time,
02:19 a time that we weren't having a lot of fun.
02:21 And he came in and made football fun for a lot of people at that time.
02:25 He came in and made football competitive again at practice.
02:29 And he's John at Jalen Ramsey, and they're going at it.
02:32 And that was something that we hadn't felt in a little while, right?
02:36 It was a tough year.
02:37 And the opportunity to be around him potentially every day,
02:42 to coach a guy that's as competitive as he is, that has that moxie.
02:47 I mean, that's fun.
02:48 I mean, you can't coach that.
02:50 And when a guy has that ability and the ability to communicate with others,
02:55 that's something that I really wanted to be around and was very intriguing for us.
