00:00 You know what attracted me to this project is something, for me it's a challenge.
00:04 It's seeing something that I don't know if I can portray it or you know as accurate or
00:09 authentically as it's meant to be portrayed.
00:10 So for me it was, I love a good challenge.
00:12 I love exploring within myself the boundaries that I can create or find in bringing something
00:18 to life.
00:19 And so just the script was one thing but just knowing that Matthew the character required
00:24 that is what really drew me to the show and just being a part of it has been nothing but
00:28 a blessing ever since.
00:30 And it's just been a great experience.
00:32 And what have you learned from your character?
00:35 I've learned so many.
00:36 Do you have the rest of the day because we'll have to cancel everything.
00:39 You know from the top of my head this season I've learned about forgiving and how it's
00:44 not a clean cut thing.
00:46 You know it's messy and there's different ways and if you believe in yourself and believe
00:50 in what you're doing is the right thing and you are apologizing and owning up to your
00:55 mistakes it's okay to make mistakes.
00:57 That's one of the big lessons I've learned this year as Matthew.
01:00 Noah, let's talk about Andrew.
01:03 How is your character going to evolve in this new season?
01:07 Yeah, it's really interesting to me because I think a lot of this season there are a lot
01:14 of sort of maybe some obvious challenges especially when it comes to John the Baptist being imprisoned
01:20 and his ultimate fate that we know.
01:23 And it's a real test for Andrew to be able to live up to the teachings of Jesus and John
01:28 the Baptist and to be able to continue forward and move on in the face of such a difficult
01:35 circumstance.
01:37 But there's a mission here and he has to try to grow up and live up to the responsibility
01:43 that he has in the group.
01:45 And in which way has working in The Chosen has impacted your personal life?
01:54 I mean I can say there's like a multitude of reasons but I'll just say to pick one even
01:59 just for my you know artistic soul, you know we as actors and artists like we strive, we
02:09 want so badly to wake up every day and to try to interpret a human being and see how
02:15 would they behave.
02:16 You know how can you have an audience, let an audience in on the human condition.
02:22 And for us we get to do that every single day on this show through all the already four
02:28 seasons and it's like the gift that keeps on giving.
02:32 And then we get to grow with these characters over all these years and so we show up you
02:36 know when we show up for season five we have all those years behind us and then when they
02:41 say alright and action it's like we're right back where we left off and that is a true
02:47 gift.
02:48 What can the audience expect from this season four?
02:53 A very bumpy roller coaster.
02:58 You know I think look it's going to be a bit dark this season but what we know or what
03:04 we can hope to see is that there is light at the end of the tunnel, there is hope and
03:07 there is love and that's what our show is known for.
03:11 And so what you're going to see this season are these moments that are dark but the way
03:15 the show is going to show us the light, help us find the way, will impact us and make us
03:21 feel full in ways of how to kind of treat that if that is happening in your own life.
03:27 Jasmine, in which way has working on a show like The Chosen impact your personal life?
03:35 Oh man in so many ways.
03:39 The first I mean the main thing that I think of is just what I learn through my character
03:45 so through the work that I'm doing and then also through the people that I work with and
03:50 having these conversations and for instance just what he was what Brandon was talking
03:55 about with what he how Quintus is and what he's learning from it.
04:03 You know that's very much something that I also struggle with is control and not to try
04:07 and be so controlling but just as an example and then for instance like with Reema playing
04:13 her it's just given me such an appreciation for life and I'd like to think that I was
04:18 already that kind of a person but realizing oh I think I'm much more negative than Reema
04:23 is I think Reema is just is just such a ray of sunshine and then also just the experience
04:34 of it all seeing how it impacts people and them sharing their stories and what they get
04:40 from it is so cool to see just to see how all of that plays out.
04:47 Brandon what do you like the most about your character and what have you learned from him?
04:53 Well what I like about him is that he's kind of clever right he's a funny guy and that's
04:58 kind of likable obviously he has a bunch of other qualities that are not good right but
05:03 he is kind of funny so that's nice and what I've learned from him is that you know Quintus
05:12 is a part of something he doesn't understand it's sort of like there's a big thing happening
05:16 around him and he doesn't fully grasp it and he's trying to control it and what I've learned
05:21 what Brandon has learned from Quintus is that it's okay to be a part of something bigger
05:25 that you don't understand but don't try to control it just be present.
05:29 Tell me the vibe on set between the rest of the cast with the crew you must be like a
05:37 big family by now.
05:39 Big dysfunctional family oh boy yes.
05:42 Emphasis on the fun though you know.
05:44 Yes actually yeah it's so cool because what my favorite thing about about just any relationship
05:50 is I am so thankful whenever I get to sometimes be an ass and people just understand like
05:58 you know you have your days and god like I'm just so happy that I'm around people who just
06:03 let me be me who let me have those days and they're so supportive instead of you know
06:08 instead of just I don't know it's just such a supportive vibe of we the work that we do
06:15 we're outdoors and it can be heavy sometimes and it can be hard and they're long stressful
06:20 work days they're fun but it's you know you're we're dealing with emotions we're dealing
06:27 with just a bunch of like you were saying earlier some like a lot of logistical stuff
06:31 and so it's nice to have a support group is what it feels like to me where I if I'm having
06:36 a bad day then I'm not worried about oh my gosh how am I gonna go through today how am
06:43 I gonna make it through today I don't that's something that I don't worry about and that
06:47 means a lot to me personally.
06:51 And for you Brandon was the same how was work?
06:54 I think so yeah it's so unusual to come onto a set especially a set that that is this big
07:02 right it's a big cast you know there's something like 15 principal performers and and the crew
07:06 is equally sizable right and in a cast and crew that size it could be very easy to get
07:12 lost in it and feel anonymous and I've never felt lost or anonymous on this set and that's
07:18 since day one it speaks to everyone's care and compassion making this show and it's a
07:24 beautiful to be a part of.
