Transcript
00:00 This week the Mississippi State men's basketball team is thrown new challenges
00:06 as they head to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. The team currently sits
00:11 at a 14 and 8 record going 3 and 6 conference. Here are three obstacles
00:16 Mississippi State men's basketball must overcome to in order to excel in the
00:22 momentum they've got going. First the Bulldogs have got to figure themselves
00:27 out on the road. After upsets by South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky and
00:33 Ole Miss away, the common denominator is that the Bulldogs have a tough time with
00:39 travel play. Another issue facing the Bulldogs is the early season loss to
00:44 Southern University. With a Q4 record of 5 and 1 and an undefeated record of Q3
00:51 games, this loss is something that could haunt the Bulldogs when it comes to
00:55 tournament consideration. One last issue that Mississippi State has to overcome
01:01 this week is the absence of defender DJ Jeffries. He was ruled out with a knee
01:07 injury and has no estimation for when he will return. Jeffries has set the tone
01:13 for Mississippi State defense this season and accommodating for his absence
01:18 will be a huge determining factor for the outcomes of this week's matchups.
