00:09 I'm waiting, Cloud.
00:36 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:39 In Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cloud and his companions
00:42 triumph over destiny.
00:45 Leaving the city of Midgar behind,
00:47 they step out into an unfamiliar wilderness.
00:52 It is here that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth begins.
01:04 The stage upon which this ragtag band story unfolds
01:08 is both vast and varied.
01:11 The world is made up of multiple regions,
01:14 all seamlessly interconnected.
01:18 The Grasslands.
01:21 Located due south of Midgar, this
01:23 is where Cloud and the gang resume their adventure.
01:26 The Junon region.
01:33 Where a metropolis by the same name
01:34 overlooks the ocean, a symbol of Shinra's military might.
01:38 The Corel region.
01:43 The resort town of Cosa del Sol adorns its northern shore,
01:48 while the Gold Saucer stands as a gilded oasis above the Dust
01:52 Bowl far to the south.
01:54 The Gengarga region.
01:59 Pay tribute to Zack by exploring his hometown,
02:02 or visit what remains of the local Mako reactor.
02:04 The Cosmo Canyon region.
02:10 Become one with the planet as you
02:12 return to Red XIII's roots.
02:13 The Nibel region.
02:20 Take a trip down memory lane with Cloud and Tifa,
02:24 or stop by Shinra Manor, where Vincent rests in peace.
02:29 Your adventure will even extend to the high seas.
02:32 There's more to do than simply walk around, however.
02:39 First, let's look at World Intel.
02:42 Assisting Chadley with his research
02:44 will deepen his understanding of the world,
02:47 allowing him to develop new materia.
02:51 This research takes many forms, such as wrangling chocobos,
02:55 or playing with the mooglets at their mogstools.
02:58 You may also come across sanctuaries brimming
03:01 with knowledge of divine entities,
03:04 or lairs inhabited by fearsome, unique foes.
03:08 Chadley will also enlist your help
03:10 in researching mysterious artifacts
03:12 known as proto-relics.
03:14 Each investigation is its own side story,
03:16 featuring a colorful cast of characters,
03:19 exciting new minigames, and ferocious creatures.
03:22 Are you up for the challenge?
03:25 And once you recover all the proto-relics scattered
03:28 throughout the world, there's no telling what
03:31 new developments might be in store.
03:35 Next, let's talk about Odd Jobs.
03:38 These quests offer a deep dive into the regions of the world
03:41 and the crazy characters who inhabit them.
03:44 As a merc, Cloud will accept work
03:46 from people he meets in his travels
03:49 and team up with his pals to solve their troubles.
03:53 By helping those in need, he will also
03:56 strengthen the bonds between him and his comrades.
03:58 Each one of these Odd Jobs boasts a unique side story.
04:05 Some, like Johnny's questline, borrow aspects
04:08 from the original FF7, while others highlight content
04:12 exclusive to Rebirth.
04:14 You'll find all sorts of jobs the world over.
04:19 And don't worry if you leave some for later.
04:21 Story progression won't affect your side hustle.
04:25 You can always go back to tie up loose ends.
04:28 And this freedom to experience the story how you want
04:31 is one of Rebirth's greatest strengths.
04:35 While some minigames are tied to World Intel and Odd Jobs,
04:39 many are not.
04:42 For example, popular ones from the Gold Saucer,
04:46 such as 3D Brawler, G-Bike, and Chocobo Racing
04:51 are in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 2.
04:56 Others improve upon their remake versions,
04:59 while still more are completely new to Rebirth.
05:02 We've even fleshed out some of the minigames
05:09 that were featured as part of the original Final Fantasy
05:12 VII's main scenario.
05:13 Though this one is not in the original,
05:20 I highly suggest you check out the card game, Queen's Blood.
05:24 No matter where you are in the story,
05:26 it's sure to both challenge and entertain you.
05:29 Enjoy collecting all the cards and building
05:31 your own unique decks.
05:35 He's planning to use the black materia,
05:37 but I won't let that happen.
05:40 He has to be stopped by a Cetra, and I'm the last.
05:46 While minigames and map exploration
05:48 are a big part of Rebirth's charm,
05:50 there's more to it than just that.
05:52 Rebirth provides a cinematic experience
05:55 with even higher quality content, and more of it
05:59 than remake.
06:01 This installment follows Cloud and company
06:04 after they escape Midgar, up through to their arrival
06:07 at the Forgotten Capital.
06:08 We've taken painstaking care to depict how the group bonds
06:15 during their journey, one that ultimately decides Aerith's
06:19 fate.
06:21 Once you finish Rebirth, I'm sure you'll
06:23 agree that no other game makes you feel quite this
06:26 close to its characters.
06:29 Not even him.
06:32 As for the graphics, Rebirth makes full use
06:37 of the PlayStation 5 and its SSD,
06:40 meaning we could use much higher resolution assets
06:43 than we could in remake.
06:46 And they will still load in the blink of an eye.
06:48 Maintain a 60 FPS frame rate with performance mode.
06:56 Or prioritize 4K resolution with graphics mode.
07:09 Whichever you prefer, Rebirth has you covered.
07:13 Each character interacts with the world in their own way.
07:17 Barret shoots objects.
07:19 Yuffie swings across gaps.
07:24 Tifa has her grappling gun.
07:31 Red can climb along walls.
07:35 Cait Sith grabs and throws items.
07:38 And Aerith manipulates the lifestream.
07:42 Whatever challenges you face, your teammates
07:45 will be ready to help you overcome them.
07:47 Now for the music.
07:52 We wanted to pay respect to the original FF7's tracks,
07:57 but also challenge ourselves by matching
07:59 the feeling of each scene, which resulted in two different
08:02 versions of the music.
08:04 We tried to match the feeling of each scene,
08:07 which resulted in some truly innovative arrangements.
08:11 Like, for example, the following.
08:13 How was that?
08:27 If you enjoyed what you heard, we recorded well over
08:30 400 new tracks for this game,
08:33 so we'll show you where that came from.
08:35 Your party's bonds aren't just reflected in the story,
08:46 but through gameplay as well.
08:48 The choices you make throughout your adventure
08:53 will change the way your comrades feel towards Cloud.
09:01 Things affect who will join you on a date in the Gold Saucer,
09:05 something I'm sure many of you are excited about.
09:07 In fact, even allies who weren't available in the original FF7
09:14 can now accompany you, provided you play your cards right.
09:18 The Saucer is packed with many incredible sights to see
09:24 and things to do.
09:28 Scouting there will no doubt be a highlight of the game.
09:31 Already have someone who you'd like to go with?
09:39 Well, we hope they feel the same way too.
09:46 Your companions will share a bond not only with Cloud,
09:56 but with each other as well.
09:58 Your party level, a numerical expression of this bond,
10:05 will increase as you overcome challenges.
10:08 The higher this level,
10:14 the more skills will become available in your character's folios,
10:19 a mechanic new to Rebirth.
10:21 By unlocking the skills etched in these tomes,
10:25 your characters will grow stronger and learn new synergy commands.
10:30 Part of what makes Rebirth's combat so fun
10:36 is all the different character combinations.
10:39 Switch up your team to fit the situation, or even your mood.
10:45 Every possible party combination has its own unique synergy commands.
10:53 So once you find characters that work for you,
10:56 focus on tweaking their skills to match your combat needs.
11:00 And don't be afraid to experiment.
11:04 You can reset your folios at any time.
11:07 With new characters and synergy commands at your disposal,
11:14 Remake's satisfying hybrid of action combat and strategic planning
11:20 has been made even more dynamic and engaging.
11:23 We can't wait for you to experience all this and more
11:28 in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PlayStation 5.
