00:00 More than Php 868 billion worth of cheques were issued for overseas Filipino workers affected by the disaster in Saudi Arabia.
00:11 According to President Bambang Marcos, more than Php 843 billion worth of cheques were paid to OFWs.
00:18 In November 2022, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman promised to raise Php 2 billion or almost Php 30 billion to pay insurance claims to the 10,000 Filipinos who lost their jobs after some construction companies went bankrupt.
00:39 Some senators called President Bambang Marcos to the Senate and House of Representatives for the issue of charter change. Witnesses were Athena Pangliman Perez and Mauve Gonzalez.
00:49 In the middle of the Senate and House of Representatives' unfinished discussion on the issues related to the amendment of the Constitution, some senators called President Marcos to be a referee.
01:05 According to the resolution of the House of Representatives, Speaker Martin Romualdez was a supporter of the amendment of the Constitution.
01:10 In the middle of the discussion, the Senate did not attack the House of Representatives.
01:13 Senator Chris Escudero said that the defense of the Constitution and the Senate is not an attack.
01:29 That's why President Escudero called for his cousin, Speaker Martin Romualdez to be a referee.
01:35 Despite the allegations of some congressmen that the Inter-Parliamentary Courtesy is being violated by President's brother, Senator Amy Marcos,
01:43 it is still being violated, particularly in the investigation of the Senate about the controversial People's Initiative.
01:49 I did not fire their employees because I want the courtesy to remain even if the Senate is abolishing it.
01:59 Senate President Peg Zubiri said that he is ready to talk to Speaker Romualdez.
02:05 Although congressmen favor to talk to the two prisoners, they are not in favor of the President to rent his cousin, Speaker Romualdez.
02:14 I don't think it is the duty of the President to reign in the House Speaker.
02:19 We are independent branches of government. The Speaker is not a puppet of the President.
02:25 And if the senators who were said to be hurt by the title of Resolution 1562, which the Senate attacked the House of Representatives,
02:33 the congressmen who were also hurt by the wrongdoing of them and their allegations are behind the People's Initiative.
02:41 If you fire us, it's like you fire our constituents below. That's why it's painful.
02:50 The senators who were threatened by the Senate, especially the seven congressmen who have relatives,
02:59 were not afraid of the Congressmen who were also threatened by the Senate, especially the seven congressmen who have relatives,
03:06 they are also challenging the senators.
03:11 Why don't you 24 come out in the open? Who is in favor to amend the Constitution?
03:16 Who are the opponents? And the people of the Philippines will decide whom to put in the Senate.
03:22 For GMA Integrated News, Tina Panganiban Perez, Mahal Gonzales, your Saksi.
03:28 The North representative, Pantaleon Alvarez, claimed that his and former President Rodrigo Duterte's attack was an act of sedition
03:37 that separated Mindanao from the Philippines.
03:40 That's after the PNP leader said that they are watching the groups that are supporting the secession.
03:46 He also insisted that this is not a crime because there is no tumultuous affair or they are not causing trouble or using violence.
03:54 I assume full responsibility for my actions. We are not thinking of causing trouble.
04:04 That's why I keep saying that this should be done peacefully. We will not cause trouble.
04:13 Instead of a legitimate separation, the supporters of the fast-paced process of annulment are being deceived.
04:23 Saksi, this is Mark Salazar.
04:25 Let's just call her Rose, not because her married life became a bed of roses.
04:34 In fact, she did not care about their marriage story, so she asked us to fulfill her appointment.
04:42 Parents and relatives forced us to get married. We tried to work on our marriage.
04:53 I have doubts about her sexuality. I have an emotional need that she will not give.
05:01 I also have a sexual need in marriage. That's why I said it's better if we separate.
05:08 Those like Rose who are broken-hearted and desperate are the target of online annulment scammers.
05:15 I tried to message that profile. I just sent a message. I tried to ask if I can make a video call to make sure that I deposited the initial payment.
05:32 But she did not answer the video call.
05:34 How much should I pay?
05:36 She said it's P65,000 for 3 to 4 months. She said that's all. I will be sent to a senior.
05:46 Annulment scammers are easy to recognize. If they promise a fast and easy annulment, they are scammers.
05:53 Those who promise 1 to 2 months, that's definitely a red flag.
05:58 It's true that 1 to 2 years is fast. Sometimes, the process in court takes up to 5 years.
06:05 The second red flag is if it's too cheap. If it's less than P100,000, it's a scam.
06:14 The reason why it's expensive is because lawyers go through so much preparation. So much has to be done to make your annulment petition successful.
06:23 The cost of a legit family lawyer is P180,000 in the province, P250,000 to P600,000 in Metro Manila.
06:33 The OFWs are the favorite victims of annulment scammers.
06:38 They are the ones who immediately bite the promise of non-appearance in court.
06:43 If they say non-appearance, you don't have to worry about it, then that's absolutely a red flag right there.
06:49 Your conversation is not a legit lawyer.
06:53 If you are an OFW, you still have to attend a court hearing via video conference in our consulate or embassy.
07:01 It's true that marriage is not like rice that is tested, that will be sown when it is harvested.
07:07 And believe me, it's not easy to sow.
07:11 If you have even a small doubt, are you ready or can you do this or will you be happy with this person,
07:21 you should think about it first.
07:24 For GMA Integrated News, I'm Mark Salazar, your witness.
07:30 The Senate discussed what should be done every year, the neuropsychological exam for security guards.
07:38 Following the viral incident of a police car that was held by several guards.
07:43 Witnesses are Dano Tinkunco.
07:45 In a viral video in Cebu in September 2023,
07:51 a guard suddenly pushed a metal barrier to stop a motorcycle from leaving, so it fell.
07:58 In the viral incident in July, a guard threw a broom from the footbridge.
08:04 Although both cases were filed by the administrative authorities,
08:08 senators want to know what is possible that pushed some guards to throw a broom.
08:14 How can we ensure that not only physically, but also mentally qualified,
08:18 anyone who intends to enter the house of the security guard will be protected?
08:22 Many security guards are not trained.
08:25 Many security guards are overworked, underpaid.
08:33 And because of that, they are stressed.
08:38 It was revealed that security agencies still have no or expired licenses
08:44 to operate from the PNP-SOCIA or Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies.
08:50 Most likely, sir, because our Enforcement Management Division is always conducting this post-op inspection.
08:57 Some agencies are still operating without valid LTO, sir, or expired LTO.
09:01 So why are you letting them do that?
09:04 We are, for the Enforcement side, sir, we are still having these RC issues to conduct their area post-op.
09:13 I cannot act.
09:14 More than 1,000 agencies have been initiated to cease to operate.
09:18 Senators also found traces of being forced to do something to the guards,
09:23 such as asking for a parking attendant, cleaning, and answering the phone.
09:27 We will examine the employment records for at least 3 years,
09:32 interview the employees, inspect work premises to determine the compliance with the labor general standards.
09:41 Even the late or unpaid salary for some.
09:45 There is an advisory, number 15, the DOLE, which states that the payment should be paid correctly as per contract rate.
09:55 And it should be on time.
09:58 It was also discussed whether the guards should have a neuropsychological exam for a year,
10:03 which will be answered by the agency, and the correct length of work of a guard.
10:08 I think 12 hours might be the cold war.
10:11 In the mental and physical being of our security guards, that might affect their disposition.
10:22 So, I'm a bit strong, 12 hours is a hard straight duty.
10:30 Security guards now are looking at deployment for 12 hours, sir.
10:34 Because if it's only 8 hours, times 26, it's only 15,000.
10:38 Takeover, sir.
10:39 For GMA Integrated News, I will be your witness.
10:45 Some residents of Barangay Linaon in Cahuayan, Negros Occidental,
10:50 were celebrating when the sand of the sea, the sand of the Dilis, fell.
10:53 The residents were helping to catch the fish using their boats.
10:58 According to a coastal coordinator, the fall of the Dilis might be due to the cold weather.
11:04 And possibly, the Dilis ran away from the big fish, so they were caught in the middle of the sea.
11:12 King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer.
11:15 It was reported that he went under a medical procedure.
11:19 Although it was not mentioned in the statement of Buckingham Palace what type of cancer King Charles is suffering from,
11:26 he was asked to leave his public duties.
11:30 The King thanked his medical team for the quick action.
11:34 King Charles' view on his medical treatment is still positive.
11:39 Prince Harry is expected to fly back to the United Kingdom to visit his father.
11:45 Travis Kelty is one proud boyfriend in the Grammy win.
11:56 His girlfriend is Taylor Swift.
11:58 And the new story in the life of the wife of the heart evangelist and senator Cheese Escudero.
12:03 Here is the showbiz witness of Aubrey Carambal.
12:07 It's full of love this love month for the heart evangelist.
12:14 Aside from her birthday, Senator Cheese Escudero will celebrate their 9th anniversary.
12:20 And they will have a renewal of vows.
12:23 Hopefully, this chapter 2 is also a celebration of our love story and our marriage.
12:30 A lot of great things are actually happening.
12:33 So that's just the start of it all.
12:35 The ceremony will be held in Balisin, just like their 2015 wedding.
12:40 And as she turns 39 this Valentine's, the heart's wish.
12:45 Really, number one is good health for me and everybody I love that surrounds me.
12:49 The Korean couple, Lee Sung Gi and Lee Da In, are also happy that they are officially parents.
12:56 Sung Gi's agency confirmed the birth of their baby girl.
13:01 They are hoping for love and support from the fans.
13:05 She's unbelievable. She's rewriting the history books herself.
13:09 Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelsey is still truly enchanted.
13:14 His girlfriend Taylor Swift is on the newest milestone.
13:17 She won a Grammy award.
13:20 And along with the awarding, Taylor's new album "The Tortured Poets Department" was announced.
13:26 Featured in some songs in the album are American rapper and singer Post Malone
13:31 and the English indie band Florence and the Machine.
13:34 For GMA Integrated News, I'm Aubrey Carampella, your witness.
13:39 In the middle of the conversation, King of Talk, Boy Abunda,
13:48 was joined by Nabil Alonso and Dominic Roque.
13:51 He also shared some of the hot issues.
13:55 Our witness.
13:56 July last year, when Beya Alonso and Dominic Roque took another step to forever,
14:09 their love story was portrayed like Beya in the movie,
14:13 Dominic was happy whenever Beya was with him.
14:16 But 7 months after their engagement.
14:20 As we talk today, yes, Dominic and Beya are separated.
14:24 In the fast talk with Boy Abunda earlier,
14:27 King of Talk shared his information from a source related to their breakup.
14:33 Is Beya still trying to talk?
14:37 Maybe.
14:38 As a matter of fact, from good sources,
14:42 last night or just last night,
14:47 Beya and Dominic talked again.
14:50 They're trying to understand each other.
14:53 Will this happen again?
14:55 Will Dominic run away from the lead?
14:59 Or will Beya leave them?
15:00 We don't know.
15:01 Tito Boy also clarified some of the hot issues.
15:05 The one who volunteered to Beya's mom that the prenup is okay,
15:10 is Dominic.
15:11 So I don't think it is and it was an issue.
15:15 Unless the story changed.
15:19 The narrative is not about Beya,
15:21 the problem is that they're separated.
15:23 Beya wants to save this relationship.
15:26 Beya wants this to work.
15:28 Before this, some netizens noticed in Beya's recent post online
15:32 that he's not wearing his engagement ring anymore.
15:35 According to Tito Boy's source,
15:37 I think if my source is correct,
15:39 Beya already took his engagement ring.
15:42 But are they hoping?
15:43 I think yes.
15:45 There's no evidence that this is the case between Beya and Dominic.
15:49 For GME Integrated News, I am Aubrey Carampel, your witness.
15:54 It's a bird, it's a plane, but no, it's a piano.
16:06 Piano.
16:07 The piano in Germany is connected to the air.
16:18 As the sun rises,
16:20 and in the midst of the cold weather in Germany,
16:23 a Swiss pianist plays his piece Winter Solstice
16:27 while connected to the air.
16:29 The audience is amazed while they are lying down
16:33 and covered in thick clothing.
16:36 The pianist's inspiration is the sounds he hears in the air.
16:41 And in exchange of time,
16:43 he will play a piece from Winter Solstice to Summer Solstice.
16:49 Thank you for watching.
16:53 I am Arnold Glavio.
16:54 I am Pia Arcangel.
16:56 For a bigger mission and a wider service to the country.
