After a handful of teasers, BMW released its entire sixty-second Super Bowl commercial called "Talkin' Like Walken".

The ad, which will air in the first quarter, stars Christopher Walken and shows him having to deal with a number of impersonators trying to imitate his "instantly recognizable voice and distinctive speaking rhythm."

Events begin innocently enough as Walken leaves a hotel and is greeted by a valet opening the door to an i5. Valet praises the car, and the actor calls it "a real deal" and "100% electric." Vale later fakes this in an embarrassing encounter.

Walken ignores it, but when he gets coffee and walks his dog, the same thing happens again. The same situation can happen to a seamstress, a make-up artist and a restaurant employee.

Disappointed, Walken turns his head as he sits and notices Usher sitting next to him. Walken then asked him, "Don't you have anywhere to be?" he asks. To which Usher replies "Yes" and leaves. This is a reference to the song Yes! as well as Usher's role as halftime player.

The commercial was created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners and directed by Bryan Buckley, who has worked on nearly 70 Super Bowl commercials. Marcus Casey, BMW's North American Marketing Director, stated that the ad was "a recipe for success" because it combined "an exciting new product, an A-list Hollywood star, a great script and a talented team." Walken echoed the praise, saying, "I've really enjoyed working with BMW, they're a great company and electric cars are important."

This brings us to the i5, which starts at $66,800 and has an electric motor that develops 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. The i5 allows the eDRIVE40 to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and travel up to 295 miles (475 km) on a single charge.
