Valentine’s: Your Romantic Gestures

What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done? As Valentine's Day approaches, Leeds locals reflect on romance.

00:19 know, got some jewellery and a big, big thing of roses. And I remember, I remember the feeling

00:25 in my stomach, and I'm like, I was so nervous. And I remember going into the house, I almost

00:30 didn't want to turn the corner into the room. And, but yeah, I felt, it made me feel really

00:35 good that I did it, and I know that she very much appreciated it. But the thing that I

00:39 may have messed up on was getting such a big bunch of roses for the first time, because

00:44 then I felt like I was competing every other year. But one good little tip of what I've

00:48 done now, I got her a charm bracelet, so now I can just get her a new charm.

00:58 surprise as well, which I won't say until the day.

01:38 got her to go up Blackpool Tower and surprise her with some chocolates and flowers. And

01:45 it was a big surprise for her because I'm not really a romantic person, but this year

01:51 I just felt like I needed to do something special for her.

01:54 The most romantic thing I've done for someone ever is I took my girlfriend on her first

02:00 date to a nice restaurant and we had a good time and ate carbonara and then went back

02:08 to my house and walked my dogs.
