These cute dogs are ready for adoption this week at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

00:00 So Willow is your typical spring spaniel, so absolutely bonkers.

00:04 She is looking for quite an active family home.

00:08 She's brilliant with people, really good with other dogs.

00:11 So someone who ideally has a background with spaniels would be really beneficial for her.

00:17 Great, and does she need a lot of space in her new home?

00:20 So ideally with her being quite energetic, a nice large secure garden would be ideal.

00:25 This is Vinny, so he's very new to us, he only came in a couple of days ago, so he is still quite a nervous boy.

00:32 So I know he's a newcomer, but what do you know so far about him?

00:36 So he is quite a nervous boy, so he needs quite a quiet house.

00:40 But just in the last two days he's starting to come out of his shell,

00:44 he's enjoying walking around a bit more and having a bit of an adventure in the smell around.

00:48 He's yet to play with toys, but that's not to say that he doesn't enjoy them,

00:52 he just might need to come out of his shell a little bit.

00:55 And what type of home do you think he would suit?

00:58 He needs quite a quiet one, one where they've got a lot of patience to let him settle in,

01:03 and then hopefully he'll come out of his shell and start to give him a bit more experience going out for a few more walks,

01:10 because he's quite used to being in the garden quite a lot, so that would be a nice one to explore.

01:14 Aww, right, so who is this?

01:19 So this is Lily, and she is a poodle crossed with a Tibetan terrier,

01:24 and she is an absolutely lovely girl, she loves cuddles from everyone that she meets.

01:29 She can be a little nervous to start off with, but once she knows you she just wants to sit on your lap.

01:35 And she's four years, nine months.

01:39 And what does she like to do?

01:42 She gets very excited to go for her walks, her whole body is like a noodle,

01:47 she's going to run around and wriggle around.

01:50 She does quite like toys as well, she just has to be in the right mood for it,

01:54 but most of the time she just wants a cuddle.

01:56 She wants to be on your lap, she wants to be somewhere warm.

02:01 And what type of home would she like?

02:04 So Lily came to us because she did have a snap at another dog,

02:08 which did result in some veterinary treatment, so she needs to be the only dog in the home.

02:14 Ideally in an area that's not highly dog populated,

02:18 just because she can be a little jealous sometimes, a bit reactive when other dogs walk past.

02:23 And she will ideally need to be walked on need in quite quiet areas.

02:29 But other than that she just needs a nice quiet home that can give her lots of attention.
