00:00 We're with the beautiful Gracie Abrams. How is it going tonight?
00:04 It's going. Thank you for having me.
00:06 I mean, I love this outfit. It's like what a deconstructed tuxedo moment.
00:09 It's something like that. Yeah. Yeah.
00:11 Just wanted to feel like I could breathe.
00:13 I love that. And I mean, beyond a musician, I feel like people connect with you,
00:18 mostly for your songwriting. I feel like you really are a voice for people
00:21 who have these like universal human experiences. Has it been validating to hear people react
00:28 to your music the way that they have? Well, thank you for saying that.
00:31 Yeah, it's been it's I can't believe it. I feel so grateful to my fan base for being
00:40 so supportive for showing up for me as they have, you know, the past couple of years.
00:45 And I wouldn't be anywhere near this room if it weren't for them. So, yeah, it's it's really wild.
00:51 I love it. I love it. I mean, I got to talk about Noah Kahn.
00:54 Of course. I always have to talk about Noah.
00:56 We must always talk about Noah Kahn. And you were on the everywhere,
00:59 everything, everywhere remix. And like, how did that even come about?
01:02 Were you friends with him before? How did that?
01:04 Yeah, we actually we met at the Ares tour one day.
01:09 That'll do it. Yeah.
01:10 We were just like, you seem cool. You seem cool.
01:12 And yeah, actually, it's like, you know, we haven't gotten much time in the same room,
01:19 but he was generous enough to ask me to get on the song.
01:22 And it was obviously anything he ever asked is a yes for me.
01:25 He's such an he's such an unbelievable artist.
01:27 He's such a just stellar writer and clearly, clearly writes from.
01:32 It's like it feels like he needs to say what he's saying every time.
01:35 So, you know, I just love him so much.
01:37 It's like feelings that you didn't know you had.
01:39 And then you're like, oh, that sounds about right.
01:40 Very similar to your own music. Thank you.
01:43 Thank you so much.
01:44 And what lessons have you taken in the past year that you want to carry with
01:48 you in this next chapter of your career?
01:49 Just to like, listen more than I speak.
01:53 That's a good one. We can all do that.
01:55 Yeah. And that it's OK to take time to figure out exactly what you want to say.
01:59 You don't just have to talk for the sake of talking.
02:02 I'm really grateful to be in this room for a million reasons,
02:07 but I also feel like I get to study the pros.
02:10 And it's really it's really a privilege to be able to,
02:14 you know, just just these these artists that have graced the stage, the Grammy stage.
02:22 Are they like I feel like have raised me in ways, you know,
02:26 because the music is just everything.
02:27 And so I'm just here to learn tonight.
02:30 - Yes, I love it, I love it.
