00:05 Earlier this evening at 1908, 7.08 PM, we received for
00:10 the fire department report of a structure fire here in Bayside Estates,
00:16 which is known for a long time as Japanese Gardens.
00:21 It's a very large mobile home park.
00:25 Simultaneously, the ARF units or the aircraft units out of Clearwater St.
00:31 Pete Airport also received a note of response regarding a aircraft that had
00:36 some trouble.
00:37 During that conversation with their tower, their tower lost off a radar and
00:42 at three miles north of the runway.
00:45 And some of the ARF units responded this way when they saw the fire.
00:49 Our units got on scene at 19, I'm sorry, so
00:54 1908, 1915 or 715 was our initial units on scene and
01:00 the aircraft response vehicles were right behind them.
01:03 That's critical because those aircraft response vehicles are designed to put
01:07 larger fires out.
01:08 And that was a critical component of maintaining this mobile home park
01:13 to what we kept it to.
01:16 The crews did a phenomenal job in getting the fire knocked down very quickly.
01:19 And it ensued several structures,
01:23 three definitely that had some fire damage,
01:26 a fourth one with possibility of fire damage.
01:29 The aircraft was found in the one structure,
01:34 predominantly right in that one structure.
01:36 We are working through right now the element of trying to get to
01:43 the hot spots but also to try and get to fatalities.
01:48 I can confirm that we have several fatalities both from the aircraft and
01:52 within the mobile home.
01:54 We're still working to make sure that there is no additional and
01:58 it's limited to what we do know right now.
