00:00 Hello I'm Katie from Katie's Kids Nursery and Katie's Kids Kitchen and we're very happy and honoured to have Brad here with us today for National Storytelling Week.
00:11 Cool and Brad, Dear Zoo, that's the clue I guess, what you've been reading today. How's it gone?
00:18 It's gone very well, we've had a couple of groups of children, they've been brilliant joining in.
00:24 Sounds like a lion mate. It does. He was too fierce. So they sent me a monkey. But he was too naughty.
00:42 Was he a naughty monkey Ruben? Yes. So what did he do? I sent him back.
00:51 So they sent me a frog. What do you think the frog was? He was too jumpy.
01:03 Yeah they make that sound don't they? But he was too jumpy. What did he do? I sent him back. Well done.
01:13 So they thought. We've read Dear Zoo and we've read a few other stories. I'm here doing National Reading Week.
01:22 Katie is a great sponsor of the pantomime and asked me if I'd come down and read to the children which I was happy to do.
01:28 I'm also here doing Dear Zoo which opens this week at Theatre 7. Ah great so you're off there actually just after this aren't you?
01:35 I'm going there in about 5 or 10 minutes to open the show. But yeah it's on a national tour so it's a nice tie in.
01:42 It's National Reading Week, ties in well with Katie and it's always a pleasure to come down and see the kids.
01:47 You're in the world of theatre, you've got your own children, this story time Lark's not a new thing to you I'm sure is it?
01:54 No, no it's important I think it's important and seeing it this morning and working with the kids and reading to them,
02:00 they want to join in, it's how they start learning about stuff isn't it? It's a great story.
02:07 And Katie you were even sitting in on the one bit weren't you and enjoyed it, it's quite nice even for an adult.
02:12 It really is wonderful to see their faces yeah.
02:15 Through the deep dark wood a fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.
02:22 Where are you going to little brown mouse? Come and have lunch in my underground house.
02:29 It's terribly kind of you fox but no, I'm going to have lunch with the Gruffalo.
02:36 A Gruffalo? What's a Gruffalo? A Gruffalo, why didn't you know?
02:42 He has terrible tusks and terrible claws and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws.
02:49 Where are you meeting him? Here by these rocks and his favourite food is roasted fox.
