00:00 President Bongbong Marcos returned home after his two-day state visit in Vietnam.

00:05 He signed several agreements there, including the rice trade and maritime cooperation.

00:10 The President insisted that the unity is still strong among his political allies.

00:16 Here is my first news.

00:18 Despite the accusations made by former President Rodrigo Duterte against President Bongbong Marcos,

00:26 nothing changed in their relationship with Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:30 It's exactly the same because she hasn't said anything of that nature.

00:35 She doesn't say anything of that kind so nothing changed.

00:44 He also has no plans to replace VP Sara as Education Secretary.

00:48 And their unity team, which won the highest position in the country, is still alive.

01:19 The President gave a gift while in Vietnam for a state visit.

01:23 He was accompanied by Vietnamese President Vo Van Tho.

01:26 Next, several agreements were reached between the two countries,

01:30 including incident prevention and management in the South China Sea,

01:33 where Vietnam is also a claimant.

01:36 It is argued that cooperation and dialogue should be strengthened

01:38 to avoid increasing tensions in the South China Sea.

01:41 The Philippine Coast Guard and Vietnam Coast Guard also reached an agreement

01:44 for maritime cooperation.

01:46 The two countries will help in forming a joint committee

01:50 for the coordination and cooperation to enhance the capabilities of the two countries.

01:54 The PCG and VCG will also have a hotline mechanism.

01:58 As a step forward in food security,

02:00 the Rice Trade Cooperation Agreement was also reached

02:03 that will provide a continuous and stable supply of rice for the Philippines.

02:07 Under this, Vietnam promised to supply 1.5 to 2 million metric tons of rice every year

02:13 at an affordable price.

02:15 The President also attended the state banquet before he left for the Philippines.
