00:00 I changed my phone sim contract last week to £10 a month,
00:03 saving me at least £25 a month.
00:04 Yay! Another mobile savings. There we go.
00:07 However, I then did a credit check and I had 30 or more points
00:10 knocked off my 100% score.
00:12 Why?
00:14 Yeah? Why?
00:15 Do you want my honest answer? Go on, then.
00:17 I don't care. Oh.
00:19 And that's not me being flippant.
00:22 And, Martin, you shouldn't be...
00:25 ..care either, for the simple reason that your credit score,
00:29 that credit score that you get, doesn't really mean anything.
00:33 Those credit scores are just a loose indication.
00:36 Small movements don't really mean any changing.
00:38 I suspect it happened because you've got an extra hard search
00:41 on your file and maybe your old mobile phone had evidence
00:44 of longevity and you don't have much evidence of longevity,
00:46 so it's temporarily knocked it for a short term.
00:48 But going from a perfect score to 30 points off,
00:51 whether your perfect score is 710, depending which agency it is,
00:54 or 1,000, it's neither hithern nor tither.
00:56 Get on with your life, don't worry about it.
