E. Jean Carroll spoke to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow after winning her $83.3 million defamation verdict against Donald Trump. Carroll was surprised that during the trial, Trump and "like a walrus snorting," adding that he was a "phantom" and it was the people around him who gave him power, while "he himself was nothing." Carroll had been terrified in preparations but said when testifying, she looked at Trump and "he was nothing." Carroll also commented on CNN that Trump's objective in the trial seemed to be winning voters, not the case.
