00:04 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the celebs who might have been
00:09 hidden behind elaborate masks, but still couldn't mask their voice from the fans.
00:14 [Music]
00:19 Number 10. Wendy Williams as Lips. Anyone who's even vaguely familiar with Williams' career
00:25 might have guessed that she'd masquerade behind a giant pair of lips.
00:28 Even she knew it would be hard to conceal her identity. After all,
00:32 she's not the most coy of talk show hosts. Anyway, the moment she opened her lips,
00:37 there was no denying who that voice belonged to.
00:40 [Music]
00:47 She might have had us fooled a tad longer if she hadn't started her performance by talking.
00:52 You know, that thing she's famous for doing?
00:54 "We love you for watching this evening, but this is for New York!"
01:00 It's clear she's having a blast, but she got a little too loose-lipped.
01:04 It was so obvious that she may as well have sat there singing without her disguise.
01:08 "And guess what? No one opens the door!"
01:12 "Ahh!"
01:14 "For our native New Yorker!"
01:16 Number 9. Todrick Hall as Bull. If you've been following Hall's career for a while,
01:21 you probably hit the bullseye on this one almost instantly. Nicole Scherzinger immediately
01:26 guessed him, saying she could sense it in her nails, hair, hips, heels.
01:30 [Music]
01:38 As the weeks went on and we gathered more clues, heard more songs,
01:42 and even saw a few dance moves, we became even more bullheaded about our suspicions.
01:46 [Music]
01:54 In fact, so many of his stylistic choices were so quintessentially Todrick,
01:59 that we would have put a lot of money on it being him. Still, that didn't stop us from
02:03 enjoying his performance week after week until he was ultimately unmasked as the series runner-up.
02:08 [Music]
02:10 Number 8. Drew Carey as Llama. If you watch the Drew Carey show,
02:15 whose line is it anyway, or are a The Price is Right fan, you likely had a good hunch about
02:20 this masked singer. However, if you're anything like us, the moment he started singing,
02:24 you were probably thinking, "Yeah, that's gotta be Drew."
02:27 [Music]
02:33 Even if a smidgen of doubt lingered, something in his mannerisms felt like the last pieces of
02:38 a puzzle finally clicking into place. Even if he couldn't pull the wool over our eyes for long,
02:43 we were disappointed to see him go when he did.
02:46 [Music]
02:53 In that same season, almost any millennial watching could recognize Jesse
02:57 McCartney's beautiful soul under that turtle mask.
03:00 [Music]
03:07 Number 7. Gladys Knight as Bee. The masked singer has welcomed its fair share of legends,
03:12 all grappling with a common challenge. How do you conceal a voice that iconic?
03:17 We all knew it was her. Guest judge Kenan Thompson knew it was her. Yet somehow her
03:21 identity seemingly eluded the judges until the very end.
03:24 [Music]
03:30 Or perhaps they were just pretending they didn't know who was beneath the mask because,
03:35 well, who would turn down watching Gladys Knight perform live every week?
03:38 [Music]
03:46 As for the rest of us, we were buzzing from the moment we heard her sing. She's the Queen Bee
03:51 of Soul after all, and her instantly identifiable voice was the sweetest honey to our ears.
03:56 [Music]
04:07 Number 6. Chris Daughtry as Rottweiler. If you are watching season 2 of The Masked Singer,
04:12 maybe you guessed that concealed beneath Leopard was singer Seal.
04:16 [Music]
04:23 Perhaps you knew you were destined to see Michelle Williams cocooned in Butterfly,
04:28 or maybe you firmly believed that Patti LaBelle was rooted inside Flower.
04:32 [Music]
04:36 However, this season there was one Masked Singer that we were sure we were barking up the right
04:41 tree. Despite attempts to muzzle his voice, Daughtry's unmistakable raspy tone and confident
04:46 stage presence gave him away.
04:48 [Music]
04:57 All that was left was to piece in the clues that may as well have been a flashing arrow
05:01 pointing at Daughtry. You'd have been barking not to guess it was him.
05:05 [Music]
05:12 Number 5. Joey Fatone as Rabbit. N Sync fans were perfectly in sync with this performer,
05:18 convinced it was none other than Joey Fatone. Okay, a small part of us lean towards JC,
05:23 but it's the same band, right? Right from the first clue package, we sensed it was some
05:28 bunny from a boy band. However, the moment he began to sing, it clearly couldn't be
05:32 anyone but Fatone.
05:34 [Music]
05:41 Those dance moves also convinced us we'd hopped on the right track. Fatone kept trying
05:46 to send us off his trail with his boundless versatility week after week, as he tackled
05:50 a wide range of genres and styles.
05:52 [Music]
06:01 Still, through it all, we were sure it was gonna be him.
06:04 [Music]
06:11 Number 4. Raven Simone as Black Widow. Season 2 of The Masked Singer treated fans to a
06:17 cheetah-licious reunion, but here's the twist. These cheetah sisters weren't in on it.
06:22 Yet for those of us raised on 2000's Disney Channel, these cheetahs couldn't change
06:26 their spots enough to fool us.
06:27 [Music]
06:35 Even masquerading as a flamingo, it was impossible not to flaming-no exactly to whom that voice
06:41 belonged.
06:42 [Music]
06:47 Meanwhile, while Raven was no stranger to a disguise on her Disney Channel show, on
06:52 The Masked Singer, her familiar voice gave her away to fans who grew up watching her.
06:57 It was a pretty easy web to unravel. From the first moment she started singing, we all
07:01 said, "That's so Raven."
07:03 [Music]
07:08 Number 3. Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski as White Tiger. Even if This Masked Singer only came
07:14 up to his costume's snout, it was pretty clear that this was a tall dude. On top of
07:19 that, the clues referencing his New England connections, specifically the Patriots, definitely
07:24 helped narrow it down.
07:25 [Music]
07:28 But the dead giveaway? Tiger's roar. Whether belting out a tune or chatting with the panel,
07:34 his voice and the way he carried himself were as clear as a tiger's stripes.
07:38 [Music]
07:44 Some folks couldn't help but notice his moves were pretty reminiscent of the football
07:48 star too. Even if you're not a sports buff, you probably could have taken a wild guess
07:52 and pounced on the right answer.
07:54 [Music]
08:02 Number 2. Lil Wayne as Robot. Lil Wayne's been on the scene since he was a kid and is
08:07 widely hailed as one of today's best and most influential rappers. With over a hundred
08:12 awards, including five Grammys, he's not exactly flying under the radar.
08:16 [Music]
08:21 So while the panel threw out guesses left and right, the audience knew that voice belonged
08:26 to Lil Wayne. No ifs, ands, or ro-buts. Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, and guest judge
08:32 Jamie Foxx have all collaborated with him in the past and somehow still failed to guess
08:37 correctly.
08:37 [Applause]
08:46 We reckon their guessing gears needed a little oiling. It couldn't have been more obvious.
08:51 Too bad his time on the show short-circuited so quickly.
08:53 [Music]
08:59 Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
09:04 Tony Hawk as Elephant. Hawk-eyed and eared viewers spotted Tony in a flash.
09:08 [Music]
09:16 Tommy Chong as Pineapple. It didn't take fans long to pine-appeal away this actor's disguise.
09:22 [Music]
09:30 Johnny Weir as Egg. Did you crack this one right away or were you scrambling for a name?
09:35 [Music]
09:42 Kelly Osbourne as Ladybug. The hidden identity of this celeb didn't bug viewers for very long.
09:47 [Music]

10:04 If you're on your phone, make sure you go into your settings and switch on notifications.
10:09 Number 1. Donny Osmond as Peacock. We didn't need Marie Osmond to tell us that it was her
10:14 brother Donny showing his feathers in the peacock costume. If you're familiar with the dynamic duo,
10:19 Mulan or Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, you could pick out that voice from a crowd.
10:25 [Music]
10:33 Osmond played the game well, flaunting his versatility with John Legend's All of Me one week
10:38 and Calvin Harris featuring Neo's Let's Go Another.
10:41 [Music]
10:47 But no matter, he always put on the greatest show. Other names thrown into the mix included
10:52 Neil Patrick Harris and even Weird Al Yankovic. Still, most of us knew without a shadow of a
10:57 doubt that it was Donny Osmond shaking his tail feathers under there.
11:00 [Music]
11:07 Which Masked Singer did you instantly guess? Let us know in the comments.
11:11 "When I heard you sing, I knew within a half of a second who you were."
11:15 "Seriously."
