00:02 - You've heard all this talk, I know you have,
00:06 about changes to like that CBS show and that Fox show.
00:10 I think what you're seeing is like old man Jimmy,
00:14 old Terry, I mean honestly, like let's just face facts.
00:18 I mean they're like 100.
00:19 And then they got Gronk standing there
00:21 and you know he's gonna go right into that gig.
00:23 And then on the other side you've heard about Sims
00:26 and you've heard about--
00:29 - And Watt standing there.
00:31 - And then, well Watt's standing there,
00:33 but what I would do right now today
00:36 is hire Bill Belichick.
00:37 First of all, that would be a cushy job for Bill
00:41 in New York to come to New York every Saturday,
00:45 fly in, stay in the five star,
00:48 and then get up, go to the CBS on 57th
00:50 and do the NFL today.
00:52 And I'll tell you what, he is unequivocally
00:56 the best football mind talking about football
00:59 or storyteller ever.
01:02 He is the best ever at talking football.
01:05 He would be utterly sensational on CBS.
01:08 Meanwhile, they got these guys on there.
01:10 Oh my God, could it be any more boring?
01:12 Honestly, honestly, let's just get real.
01:15 People don't even watch it anymore
01:17 'cause it sucks so bad.
01:19 - I think you're right about this,
01:20 especially if he's not gonna get a gig this year.
01:23 And you're right, you don't get that side of Bill
01:26 at the podium on Wednesdays and in the post game.
01:28 He doesn't show it.
01:29 When he's coaching the team
01:30 and he's in the middle of the season,
01:31 you're not getting that.
01:32 You watch all those specials,
01:34 the 100 greatest players specials,
01:36 him and Saban sitting on the chairs drinking whiskey.
01:41 He is so insightful and it is great to listen to him
01:45 when he actually opens up and talks about the game.
01:48 And you've said this a lot.
01:50 They've got guys that have been on that set for a long time.
01:53 I know you love Cowher,
01:54 but he's been gone for a long time now,
01:58 disconnected from this league
02:00 and the guys that are in this league.
02:02 And that's just how it is.
02:04 And Bill isn't.
02:04 Bill would be coming right off
02:06 of knowing everyone in the league
02:07 and knowing all the players, all the teams,
02:09 all of that stuff.
02:10 It's a much different dynamic.
02:11 - Sims and Cowher, bye-bye.
02:13 Like honestly, like, and then they'll never,
02:15 Boomer's too huge with CBS doing TV and radio,
02:20 the number one morning show in sports in New York.
02:23 I love Boom.
02:24 I'm friends with Boom.
02:25 That's cool.
02:26 I'm not going to say nothing bad about nobody.
02:27 I like Phil Sims too.
02:28 I'm just telling you, it's run its course.
02:31 No one ever wants to admit it.
02:33 Have you ever watched these shows where they literally,
02:36 if you watch Fox, there's so many guys on the show,
02:40 they can't even fit them on the screen.
02:42 They got like nine guys analyzing the game.
02:45 ESPN does the same thing.
02:47 CBS does the same thing.
02:49 And what they have is, and I'm right,
02:51 they have a bunch of guys that are boring and old now.
02:54 And Washed, get a guy like Belichick in there
02:57 and it would revolutionize it.
02:58 He tells better stories than all of them.
03:00 You don't need seven guys, six, five, four to do it.
03:04 You need three guys to do this at most.
03:08 And especially if one of them's brilliant
03:10 and tells the best stories.
03:11 And someone that has been to nine Super Bowls
03:14 and won six can sit there and break it down for you.
03:17 Who needs all these fancy dudes laughing all the time
03:21 and they're so not funny.
03:23 I'd rather have Belichick.
03:24 Right now, today, I'd hire him right now.
03:26 If I were CBS, I would be on the phone
03:28 with him right effing now.
03:30 - I agree.
03:31 I think he'll, if, since it looks like
03:33 he's not gonna get a job,
03:34 I would start banging on the door.
03:36 - He's not getting a job. - And try to get him
03:36 in the mix there. - That's over.
03:38 - Yeah, he's not.
03:38 He's not at this point.
