Nutrition for bronchial asthma is a very important measure to reduce the frequency and intensity of bronchial asthma attacks.
The diet for this disease is characterized by a reduced protein content, especially with increased sensitivity.
Purines and strong fish and meat broths are considered prohibited.
A hypoallergenic diet for asthma excludes foods with irritant properties (salty and spicy foods), as well as foods with increased antigenic activity (nuts, crayfish, crabs, fish).
You should also limit: foods that promote the release of histamine; products containing histamine, as well as cheeses, pickled herring, caviar, salami.
If you are intolerant to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), you will have to exclude apples, citrus fruits, apricots, and raspberries.
Alcohol is contraindicated in bronchial asthma.
You should limit your intake of sugar, salt and liquids.
It is recommended (subject to individual tolerance) to consume wild edible herbs, seasonal fruits and berries, dried fruits, vegetables, whole grains and their cereals.
The main vitamins and minerals for asthma are: vitamins A, P, C, group B, phosphorus and calcium salts.
Some airborne (inhalant) allergens can cause a similar reaction as food allergens: sunflower and wormwood pollen; walnut and hazel pollen; food grains and grass pollen.
For bronchial asthma, split meals are indicated.
