00:00 It's a real privilege to be here today to celebrate with Dalton School this Character
00:06 Mark Award that's been awarded by ACE. This is one of less than 100 schools in the country
00:16 that have this award and all our nine primary schools alumnus have achieved this, so we're
00:23 extremely proud. We think the character of young people is vital for their future lives.
00:31 They show motivation, they show resourcefulness, resilience, kindness, they learn all that and
00:39 within that they learn to be inspiring change makers which is what we want for our communities
00:43 and the world, the country and the world further on. I am really proud as head teacher of the
00:51 Dalton School as well as the Clinton School down here in Devon to be really proud of our
00:59 prestigious achievement and being awarded the ACE Character Mark for our character education.
01:08 Everything we believe in here is about underpinning that firm foundation for the children
01:18 based on character so that they have all of the skills to go off into the world and be confident,
01:25 flourishing adults and inspiring change makers of our future.
