00:00 Our members will walk off the job for four hours in the morning, bringing the entire
00:04 VLAN network to a stop.
00:06 This has come about after failed negotiations with the company.
00:10 We expect that the impact of the industrial action will go way beyond the four hours and
00:15 disruptions will be felt throughout the day.
00:19 As such, we encourage the commuters to either work from home or make alternative travel
00:26 arrangements.
00:27 Happy to take questions.
00:29 So why has it got to this?
00:32 Why are we still at the same spot we were at over a month ago?
00:37 Well, we have been negotiating with VLAN for seven months.
00:40 Last action we took was last month, over a month ago, on 13th of December.
00:45 Since then, we haven't seen any progress from VLAN.
00:49 We made our claims very clear seven months ago.
00:53 They are just not taking this bargaining seriously and we keep ending up in a situation where
00:59 our members are extremely frustrated and they feel they don't have any other choice than
01:03 to take industrial action.
