Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X finally has his own car that he can legally drive.
The 22-year-old revealed on social media this week that he’d bought himself a brand-new white Mercedes-Benz, about six weeks after he first got his California driver’s license.
It’s been a year of big milestones for the “Old Town Road” hitmaker. In addition to landing a Super Bowl commercial and a “Saturday Night Live” performance, Lil Nas X also bought his first house.
In March, X dropped another No. 1 single, “MONTERO,” his biggest hit since “Old Town Road.”
The video for “MONTERO” drew a lot of backlash for the controversial hip-hop star. His sexualized depictions of the devil -- along with his release of blood-infused “Satan shoes” -- got Nas in trouble with Nike and drew protests from the public.
The Georgia native has also been outspoken on LGBTQ issues, and he’s recently engaged in online feuds with infamous instigators 50 Cent and Tekashi 6ix9ine.
