00:31 Ranger is the present day tool.
00:33 Everybody has embraced it for a number of reasons.
00:37 One being, it aids proper visualization
00:40 of the activities of the rangers for managers
00:44 like ourselves, and even the CEO,
00:46 and many others at conservancy level.
00:49 It's easier for them to monitor the activities of the rangers,
00:53 and even track property.
00:56 And when you have, say, animals that are tagged,
01:03 or those with chips, and even when you have GPS-enabled
01:07 radios, you can easily know where your rangers are
01:12 at what time.
01:13 You see it on a screen.
01:15 So that it is even helping managers
01:17 make data-led decisions.
01:20 Like, for example, if you notice that there's
01:22 a heavy concentration of animals in a particular area,
01:25 and it is near the community, you then
01:29 easily talk to the Kenyan Wildlife Service.
01:32 If the problem is human-wildlife conflict,
01:35 it makes you easily talk to partners
01:36 on how to mitigate the conflict between the community
01:41 and the wildlife, because you have that data collected
01:43 by this particular platform.
01:45 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
01:47 We used to wait until the end of the month
01:50 when the data was sent by the admins.
01:54 So [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH] to access the real data,
01:59 information, when the rangers were in the patrol,
02:02 when they're collecting the data,
02:04 it's in a letter automatically.
02:08 And like, [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:10 We used to wait like the admins of the conservancy.
02:13 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:17 But as for now, the data that we have at the real time,
02:20 it's helped us.
02:21 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:25 We can show them--
02:27 we can show the donors, [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:30 It allows them to access the real-time data
02:40 on wildlife movements and the data which is collected
02:47 by the rangers on the field.
02:50 Earth Ranger also acts as a centralized data management,
02:55 whereby it allows us to collect vast data
03:01 on wildlife conservation.
