Ashley Park Debuts Romance With Costar Paul Forman Amid Health Scare _ E! News

00:05 actress takes to her IG January 19th to fill in her followers on the reason

00:09 behind her recent social media absence, explaining that what started off as a

00:13 minor infection while on vacation over the holidays in the Maldives quickly

00:18 progressed into full-blown septic shock, landing the 32 year old in the ICU.

00:22 Sharing a series of photos of herself in the hospital, Ashley starts off her post

00:27 saying, "As I sit here processing and recovering from the first few weeks of

00:31 2024, the only word I can think of is grateful." While on holiday in December

00:36 into New Year's, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical

00:40 septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs. She goes on to

00:45 thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of her during this critical

00:48 time, and her team back in the US for helping to arrange her care. The Joyride

00:53 actress admits that she's been hesitant to open up about this life-threatening

00:56 situation, but feels it's finally time to let everyone know where she's been.

01:00 Saying, "I hesitated to share what's been happening. I'm sorry for being so absent

01:06 recently to so much and to people in my life. I love you all." And while she says

01:10 she's out of the woods for now, she still has a long recovery ahead of her,

01:14 writing, "I'm grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially

01:17 been told. I'm still in the throes of recovery, but I now know I'm safely on

01:21 the other side of the worst. I'm healing and I promise I'm gonna be okay." In the

01:26 emotional post, Ashley also debuts her romance with Emily in Paris co-star Paul

01:30 Foreman, who she credits with getting her through the terrifying ordeal, writing,

01:35 "Grateful most of all to Paul Foreman for being unconditionally by my side

01:39 through all this. You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign

01:44 hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections,

01:50 excruciating pain, and so much confusion, all while we were alone on the other

01:54 side of the world, far from those we know. I love you, Paul, more than I can ever say."

02:00 In her touching post, the California native goes on to share a few short

02:03 videos of Paul keeping her spirits up and taking care of her while in the

02:07 hospital. The co-stars first sparked romance rumors back in October after

02:23 they were seen holding hands at an event, but neither have publicly commented on

02:27 the relationship status until now. Paul then takes to his own social media

02:31 sharing a funny pic of him and Ashley along with a photo of them holding hands

02:35 in the hospital, captioning the post, "By your side no matter what." In her comment

02:40 section, Ashley is already receiving tons of well wishes from fans and friends,

02:44 including her on-screen and off-screen BFF, Lily Collins, who writes, "I can

02:49 hardly look at these without crying. I love you sister and I'm forever grateful
