An incredibly important player for Sean Dyche.

00:00 Can Everton consider letting Abdullahi de Kore go?
00:18 I don't think he can. He was reportedly wanted by Al-Etifaz, managed by Steven Gerrard after
00:27 the departure of Jordan Henderson. He's been the one who they have apparently turned their
00:33 attention to. You can see why de Kore, probably 18 months left of Everton's deal, signed a new
00:40 deal earlier this season. New two-year contrast. The boy's still got plenty of legs in him,
00:46 the way he's played this season. Currently injured, so maybe Everton are looking at that
00:51 thinking, "Well, what's fitness like? Is he going to have any more setbacks, etc?" But his value to
00:59 Everton is more than his value that the transfer market would dictate. He's just been out for
01:06 six games with a hamstring injury. Everton didn't win a game in that period. Come back at the end,
01:13 0-0 draw against Aston Villa. And then he was absent for the Palace game, which Everton won,
01:19 to be fair, but they weren't exactly fantastic. There's no one like de Kore's skill set, to be
01:25 honest with you, who can replicate it. Dijkstra's charge, Jack Harrison there, who hasn't done too
01:31 badly, to be fair, but then Everton are short. We've got the short of options out wide. James
01:36 Garner, for me, is an out-and-out number 10. Arnold Danduma, who we might come on to a little
01:42 bit later, has he got the work rate and the desire to really do what Sean Dijkstra wants.
01:48 It's a unique position that Everton find themselves with de Kore. I personally don't
01:53 think that they will be looking to sell him in January. If they hadn't had this 10-point
01:57 deduction, then I think they'd be looking and thinking, "We'll be fine." Given the financial
02:03 situation, you might have thought, "Well, the money's too good to pass up. He's 30-31 now.
02:07 If you've got a good offer for them, they'd be looking and thinking, "We have to take this."
02:11 But Everton can't be selling the better players. They've already done that in the past few wins.
02:18 With Charleston and then Andy Gordon, they sold. In the summer, they didn't particularly want to
02:22 sell Alex Owobi, but they did. Of course, Demaree Gray was sold to Al Etifas as well.
02:27 Everton are getting rid of some out-and-out top flight performers. Some real look up on Andy
02:36 Gordon's done this season. With Charles Varn, his feet now are at Tottenham. Alex Owobi is a
02:41 solid performer who rarely came on, leaps and bounds, in the past couple of years at Everton
02:46 before he was sold, which the deal made sense. Everton, they can't be a fool to
02:52 sell the better assets because eventually it will catch up on them.
