39-year-old Aubrey Plaza ( White Lotus , Parks and Recreation, Dirty Grandpa ) goes back in time in her latest film, My Old Ass , which premiered at Sundance last night. Actually, she goes 'forward in time,' showing up as the older version of Elliott, played by Maisy Stella ( Nashville ). The all-in-one teenage love story, contemporary comedy, and quirky riff on time travel follows bright-yet-irreverent Elliott the summer before college as she comes face-to-face with her older self during a mushroom trip. The encounter spurs a funny and heartfelt journey of self-discovery and first love as she prepares to leave her childhood home. Writer-director Megan Park uses the high-concept premise of a visit from one's future self to launch a refreshing take on the uncertainties of young romance and coming of age. Maddie Ziegler and Kerrice Brooks also star in the film.

00:00 Hey, what's up? My name is Megan Park and you're watching Life Minute TV.
00:14 It's about a girl on her 18th birthday who does mushrooms to celebrate with her friends
00:18 and she has a trip where she meets herself at 40 and her 40-year-old self kind of tells
00:22 her some things she wasn't expecting that are going to happen in her life and it sends
00:26 her on a bit of a tailspin.
00:27 It was really cool. Aubrey really wanted to see footage of Maisie as we were filming before
00:31 she came in so she could start to study her mannerisms and then when they first met in
00:35 person it was like you could tell she was kind of taking her all in but you know Aubrey
00:38 is a pro and she really picked up on the right mannerisms to sort of imitate from Maisie.
00:43 It was cool to watch.
00:45 I play like the older version of Maisie's Elliot who appears to her during a mushroom
00:50 trip and I start kind of giving her advice and giving her some warnings and telling her
00:55 some stuff.
00:56 I love Megan and Maisie and Maddie and Carice, like all of the cast I guess and the people.
01:03 I loved them all.
01:04 We had so much fun.
01:06 I think I would be shocked to know that I was writing and directing.
01:08 I never really ever saw this for myself.
01:11 I didn't know that it was really an option as a job.
01:15 There was never any like hostility or anything like that.
01:18 No, working with your friends was like such an insane thing.
01:22 I don't know how I'll ever work without my friends honestly.
