00:06 In Labasiana, Metro Manila, a study found that there is worse traffic congestion in Daidig.

00:22 Ivan, the traffic here in Enlex Northbound is getting heavier again.

00:27 This is the second day of the concert of Coldplay in Philippine Arena.

00:32 The frontman, Chris Martin, has an opinion on the traffic in Metro Manila.

00:36 Earlier this afternoon, there was a build-up from North Edge to the entrance of Enlex Tall Plaza.

00:45 Tonight is the second day of the concert of Coldplay in Philippine Arena.

00:49 And based on Enlex monitoring as of 1.15pm,

00:53 the running speed of the traffic passing Balintawak Tall Plaza to Enlex Harbor Link Interchange Northbound is estimated to be 10 to 20 km/h.

01:02 This is because of the increase in the volume of cars.

01:05 Even Senator Sherwin Gatchalian complained about the traffic in Enlex on social media, especially on weekends.

01:11 We are still trying to get a reaction from Enlex,

01:14 but they have been abusing the traffic when there is a big concert being held in Philippine Arena.

01:19 We heard the comment from MMDA Acting Chairman Romando Artes.

01:23 He said that the concert is already out of their jurisdiction in Philippine Arena.

01:27 He said that almost all sold-out concerts there resulted in heavy traffic,

01:32 except for the FIBA Basketball Opening where MMDA is involved in the preparation and execution of the traffic management plan.

01:40 It is well-known that the Tomtom Traffic Index 2023 showed that Metro Manila is number one in the world in terms of worst traffic congestion in 387 metro areas.

01:51 But MMDA is questioning the results.

01:54 We don't know what methodology Tomtom used.

01:59 Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista thinks that Metro Manila's top ranking in the world when it comes to traffic

02:05 is a challenge not only to DOTR but also to other agencies to be involved in finding a long-term solution to Metro Manila's traffic.

02:15 There are road transport infrastructure projects already to improve the commuter experience while addressing the traffic problem in certain areas.

02:23 They promised to speed up road projects while helping agencies in the private sector.
