00:14 After Lai Ching-te's resignation from the presidential elections in Taiwan,

00:22 President Bumbong Marcos is one of the greetings.

00:26 The President said that the Philippines is hoping for a closer relationship with Taiwan

00:32 and the strengthening of Taiwan's mutual interest in the Philippines.

00:36 Lai thanked Marcos.

00:39 But after this, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines said

00:43 that the Chinese Foreign Ministry is calling our ambassador to China, Jaime Flor Cruz,

00:49 to explain what he said in the statement of President Marcos.

00:54 In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said

00:59 that President Marcos' statements are a serious violation of the "One China" principle,

01:04 a violation of the political commitments of the Philippines to China,

01:08 and a violation of the "One China" principle.

01:12 He also said that the Philippines should not play with fire

01:16 and stopped all false words and movements related to the Taiwan issue.

01:22 He also asked President Marcos to read and understand the history of the Taiwan issue

01:29 so that they can come to a correct conclusion.

01:35 The DFA explained in their statement that Marcos' greetings

01:39 is a way for the President to thank Taiwan

02:09 In the statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson,

02:13 the DFA condemned and pointed out the wrongdoing of the countries that welcomed the new leader of Taiwan

02:20 who violated the "One China" principle.

02:23 They have already demonstrated serious demarches

02:26 that are a way of oppressing the official position or the likes of a country.

02:31 The "One China" policy is a policy recognized by many countries in the world,

02:36 including the Philippines,

02:38 which claims that China has only one government

02:41 and Taiwan is the only province of China.

02:45 As a result, the Philippines has no diplomatic relations with Taiwan,

02:50 so there is no Philippine embassy there,

02:52 and there are only economic and cultural offices.

02:56 According to the current chairman of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office, Omeco in Taiwan,
