Andrei Iosivas on Bengals' Win Over Browns, Two Touchdown Performance in Season Finale
Transcript
00:00 Two touchdowns today, I know that had to feel good.
00:02 What was going through your mind on the first touchdown and also the second touchdown?
00:07 What were you seeing out there?
00:08 The first touchdown, I really did not think that there was somebody else out there so
00:12 I kind of caught it pretty lax.
00:14 I mean, I got whacked.
00:16 So I was like, "Please let it be a touchdown, I would have been so sick."
00:19 So, I mean, that was bad.
00:21 And then the second one, I mean, I saw him progressing back.
00:24 I knew I was one of the last progressions, or one of the last dudes in the progression,
00:27 so I knew if he looked at me he was probably going to come to me and he did.
00:30 I was like, "Alright, I just got to catch it somehow."
00:33 And I did, so it was a good day.
00:36 You've been so solid in your rookie season.
00:37 What can you take forward into the future years as a Bengal?
00:41 Yeah, I mean, I already have a list of things I need to work on.
00:45 So I have a note section of everything I need to work on.
00:47 And I still need to work on things from this game.
00:49 I had two drops.
00:52 I had this one on the sideline, it was a little late, but then the second one, I caught it
00:56 and I spun with the ball out instead of just tucking it first.
00:58 So there's always things to work on regardless.
01:00 You know, take the positives, but work way more on the negatives, and that's my goal
01:04 for the offseason.
01:06 How do you get out?
01:07 Do you ever get into a funk after a drop, or are you able to pull yourself right back
01:10 out of it and go right back out there?
01:11 Yeah, I mean, obviously, you're mad at yourself, but the sport doesn't allow you to really
01:17 dwell on it too long.
01:18 After I had that drop on the short little route I had to touch down after, so things
01:22 can change in an instant, but you always want to learn from those kind of things.
01:26 The AFC North, everyone talks about how you guys are in such a tough division.
01:31 Only division with all four teams with a winning record, that is insane.
01:34 What does that say about the AFC North as a whole?
01:36 Yeah, I saw that.
01:37 The last time that was done was the NFC East or something, like 1935.
01:40 Yeah, it was crazy.
01:42 So I mean, it's cool.
01:43 You know, we're blessed to be in a really good division, play really good football.
01:48 I wouldn't say good luck to everyone, but obviously we want to be in that position.
01:52 But the Bengals are right there with them, and you'll see us next year for sure.
01:56 How good did it feel to beat the Browns today, especially after week one of the season?
02:02 I mean, it was an ugly feeling probably, and you guys were able to exact some revenge today.
02:06 Yeah, I mean, it was nice.
02:07 It was our last home game too, so you want to end with a good feeling, have the fans,
02:12 have some hope for next year too.
02:14 So all in all, it was a good day.
02:15 I know Joe Burrow's still been around.
02:17 Have you been able to continue developing your relationship with him while he's here?
02:22 Yeah, I mean, it's a lot more casual now, you know, so it's like a different setting.
02:25 But it's always nice to get to know somebody more as a person anyways.
02:28 So I mean, it's been cool.
02:30 He's been just chilling around, talking stories with the dude, so it's been cool.
02:33 Andre, thank you.
